Misunderstanding (back from small hiatus)

I sit down at the lake we had been to. "You ok?" He asks. I smile at him and say "I'm fine now that you're here". He smiles at me and sits next to me. "Why do you play girls..?" I ask. "If I'm honest... It's because I was always so hurt. My father is an alcoholic, my mother died in a crash... I thought if I got more girls to love me, fight for and over me, I wouldn't feel as empty. But I somehow still do..." He says. "Most of all... Why me?" I ask. "You're the only girl who doesn't fall for me at school, at least not crazy. And it just drives me crazy. After hanging out with you more and learning about who you really are and what your like I started to find out the other things that drew me to you." He says. "I'm drawn to you." He says. "I don't know what to say" I say as I smile and laugh lightly. "I love you." He says. "I love you too." I reply. "I mean it" He says. I brush my hair to the back of my ear and look down. He pulls me close and kisses me. We passionately kiss on the dock of a little lake, in a little town.
