Creak (sound of the door opening)
"Excuse me. Is this the place to buy weapons" asked someone.
"Oh welcome customer. You arrive at the right place to find a weapon" replied a shaved head guy and darker skin with well build body.
"Fortunately.." sighing the person that is Advert. He already asked about this store from some of the residents but most of them ignored him while the rest lied.
But at least he managed to pinpoint this place from the vague of their speech.
He entered the shop while been welcome by a row of a different kind of weapon. There is spear, shield, sword, gauntlet and many more been hanging on the wall but Advert knew this just an ordinary weapon and nothing incredible from his Appraisal skill.

He saw the guy he wants to find that is Erhard the blacksmith and also the shop owner.
"Newbie adventurer?" asked Erhard saw the shabby clothes Advert wore.
"Yes. I just register today at the guild" replied him with a slightly tired expression but still gave a small smile.
The guy in front of him is one of the characters that helped the main protagonist in the early phase until the present of the novel. So Advert kinda respected him because of his attitude that not discriminate the other race and also not blindly believe the rumors.
"Kid. Show me the ID plate first" said Erhard suddenly with a serious gaze.
Advert felt a bit weird but he eventually took out his ID plate from his pocket and show it to Erhard. The guy nodded after saw his ID before said "So you really an adventurer"
"Why? Did you think I lying" said Advert calmly looking straight to Erhard after heard the words.
"No. It just these few days there many people bought a weapon at this shop but that was the civilian so I just a little shock found there an adventurer come today" replied Erhard.
"Civilian?" mumbled him.
"It not just civilian but also the criminal. Although this old man like the money still I'm not evil enough to support bad people" continue Erhard.
'Civilian and criminal? Did they want to protect themselves from the wave?' Advert wondering in thought.
"Hmm...look from your reaction. I think you still didn't know the news" voice Erhard with a smile.
"Yes. It just that I'm too busy handle something so I'm a bit isolated from the world" lied Advert while showing a bitter smile.
"Let me tell you something. As for now avoid hunting too far from the city because there will happen a wave of a monster attacking and also the bandit activities is becoming more active than before so beware" advise the shaved head guy.
"Thanks for the warning. So can I buy a weapon?" spoke Advert sincerely.
"Oh I almost forget about that. Then what kind of weapon you use? Sword? Spear or Axe?" asked Erhard.
"Is there a bow. A quite strong one at that" voice Advert.
Erhard stunned a bit before replied "Let me find it first"
Erhard went to a room before walk out brought a package wrapped by a paper. He slowly put it on the only table in the shop and after that call Advert. Albert arrived at the table side before asking "Is this a bow?"
"Yes. But I don't think I will bring this thing out only after a few days of making it" said him with joy as he opening the wrap.
Advert curious just what actually a weapon that makes this old man happy to show off. He saw the wrap been opened and a bow made of wood is shown to his view.
'Appraisal' thought Advert without hesitation.

Saw the status of the bow he shocked for a while before turned his head to the smirking Erhard.
As far he can remember the rank of weapon from the bottom is Common(C), Uncommon (UC), Rare (R ), Super Rare (SR), Super Rare+ (SR+) and the top is Artifact (AF). So to saw a pseudo super rare weapon so early already one of achievement after not included the legendary weapons.
"How much for this?" asked him.
"It's just 50 gold coins" answered Erhard.
'I don't have that enough money' thinks him remember that he bought something pretty useless thing yesterday in bulk size.
"Old man...Did you have a crossbow? Cuz I don't have enough money for this bow" voice Advert with a sheepish smile.
"Crossbow?. Wait for a minute" replied Erhard as he walks back into the room before.
Advert waiting for the old man while observing the bow. The bow is mostly made of wood and there some of the metal plastered at each corner of the place of the string being tied up.
He touching the string and felt it elastic but strong at the same time. There also a small scope that been renovated from single eye binocular that will increase the accuracy.
He tries to hold it and felt comfortable because the weight is lighter than the size it should be. As he tests the bow, Erhard footsteps are heard before he walking out hugging a big box.
Advert put back the prototype bow and look to the box. Erhard slowly takes out a crossbow from the box after putting on the table.
"This is the crossbow" said Erhard passed it to Advert.
Advert immediately activate Appraisal Skill.

The crossbow is heavier than the prototype longbow as Advert felt held in his hand and the rank already in his expectation.
"How much for this?" asked Advert.
"Include 100 steel arrow it's only 30 Gold coins" voice Erhard.
'Why it so expensive?' thinks Advert.
"It's because of the crossbow is too strong for the wooden arrow. So I suggest you buy a stronger one that why I included the steel arrow" suddenly Erhard said.
"Too strong?" pondering him.
"Try it yourself" said Erhard as he passed an arrow made of wood and point to the corner of the shop.
Advert took the invitation before putting on the crossbow. Immediately he pulled the trigger and shot to the target board that hanging on the wall.
Shuuuu…
But the outcome was the arrow only flew half of the distance and its already broken into two at the back of its tail.
'The arrow can't handle the sudden force of the crossbow string so that why' thought Advert figures out the problem.
"Then old man what about this bowstring?" said him pointing to the longbow.
"The string quality is better than the string on the crossbow so it was different. It didn't have the same result as the crossbow" explained Erhard.
"Then old man why don't you take the bowstring and replace here" suggest Advert but it immediately rejected.
"No I can't because of the compatibility of both material isn't the same. Each material has its own harmony like this bowstring that only will be useful when connecting with magic type thing" replied Erhard.
"So did you want to buy it?" continue Erhard.
"Old man can you give a discount?" questioning Advert with a hopeful tone.
"I only can give 1 gold discount. So did you already decide?" voice Erhard seriously.
"Its okay you can keep them back old man cuz I don't have enough money to buy any two of them" replied Advert in a sigh.
"Can you just show me the normal bow?" continued him.
The old man silent heard Advert words and after a few seconds, he opened his mouth.
"Show me your shooting skill and I will give lend this longbow to you until you can pay for it" said the shaved guy.
"Shooting skill?...Hmm…..then I don't think I lose anything so it accepted" uttering him.
The old man Erhard gave him a normal bow and request me to at least get 10 arrows at the center of the target board from a distance of 10 meters.
Hold the bow he took the wooden arrow that has been prepared before start the challenge. His left hand is in the steady state holding the bow while his right hand pulling the bowstring.
Shuu….
The arrow been released and flew before stuck at the red center of the circle in the target board. Advert didn't stop there before continuously release the second, third until the tenth.
The result was all eight of them hit the center of the target board while the other two just slightly outside the red circle(center of the board).
"Good talent" murmured Erhard saw the outcome.
"Kid! I decided I will gift you this longbow. So take care of it" spoke Erhard pass the prototype longbow with a smile.
"Are you sure old man?" voice Advert in surprise. Actually he felt a bit depressed saw his shooting skill and maybe the result occurred because he didn't accustom with the bow but as someone with pride in long range combat, it's a bit disgrace to him.
"Yes I'm pretty sure but for the arrows you need to pays for it. You must wonder why I do this, it just I'm a blacksmith so I hope to see someone with great talent bring the maximum potential from my creation but just for this time. Next time you gonna pay for it" the replied Advert got from Erhard.
"Thanks old man" said him sincerely.
"So what the other thing you need?" voice Advert looking to his appearance.
"Give me anything that you think fit for beginners adventurer and also 100 of wooden arrow" replied Advert without care.
"Kid you a good one. Usually those beginners will take a flashy weapon like sword, spear or axe but on the contrary you choose a bow. Can I know your name kid because I think we will have a long term of business in the future?" uttering Erhard.
"It Advert. Advert Snipe" answered him.
"So you name is Advert. Then my name is Erhard. I'm the owner of this shop might as well the blacksmith. So for now I will call you Noob Kid" said him with laughter slapping Advert shoulder.
The corner of Advert twitching heard this before replied "Then I will call you old bald.."
"You joking right?" suddenly interrupted Erhard with a weird smile.
"Hahaaaa….yes it just a joke" stiffly replied Advert.
'This old man. Did he want to beat me? This old guy really sensitive about his head' think him in mind saw the smile.

"So Noob Kid. Take this equipment that good enough for a starter like you" said Erhard.
"How much of them?" asked Advert saw an armor, pairs of boots and twin small dagger.
'Appraisal' think him.

"It's only 10 gold coins included the arrows and I gave free inner too cuz your clothes are too shabby noob kid" frowned answered Erhard.
"Shabby?" murmured Advert looking to his body and noticed he still wore the clothes retainer gave.
'I forgot to buy new clothes so that why the resident in the city always avoid me. They must think I'm a beggar' thought him.
"Old man can I borrow the changing room?" asked him.
"It's at the back" replied Erhard.
Brought the equipment he entered the changing room.

After a few minutes, he went out from the room with the attire of brown leather armor, black boots and twin small silver dagger hanging on his waist. Also there is a longbow at his back with a bag full of arrows.
"You look good Noob Kid. Then you now ready for a battle" exclaimed Erhard.
"Thanks old man for the suggestions. This the payment" said him gave 15 gold coins.
"Noob kid! It's only 10 gold coins. Take the balance" rebuked the old man Erhard.
"Wait! Old man Erhard. I have a favor to ask of you that is this….." Advert said while pulling out a sack.

"Okay Noob Kid. I will help if the guy came again. But take back your money" said Erhard pushed the 5 gold coins.
'So he already came before' thought Advert heard this.
"It's okay old man. Just keep the change" replied him as he walking out.
"Wait! Noob Kid where are you going?" shouting Erhard.
"Sewer!" answered him without stopping his foot.
"Sewer? Hmm..so that kids take that quest huh" mumbled him.
