Chapter 1: Starting

Hath it been the effect or was it in its cause...

A vase broken by a blow or

an accident opening the veins for the red to flow...

Hath the origin been the flaw or

is it just a perspective;

Hath the world been all frozen or

is it my own fire, making every touch feel cold.

Frozen to ice....or, burnt to ashes...

Whatever ;

Can't decide....

Probably it's the heyday of our combined fate...

Sinking together or surfacing for eachother...

can't decide...

for I am tired of reasoning things since forever.

Never realised if it was "US" or a "SOLITUDE"...

An incomplete infinity or an almost filled void..

Maybe or maybe not...

It could be true or could be a façade.

But does it matter anymore?...

'No darling, it doesn't.'

'cause it is a nothing but a subtle story.

A monologue of life where our screams are

'merely alive' inaudible hymns...

.....lower tham whispers,

maybe the gloom of the approaching...

A walk together towards our forbidden yet desirable ending,

or an alliance ti face the upcoming STORM...

Unanswered, as it is...

Hath it been the effect?

OR

Hath it been the cause?....

.

.

hmm...that is one more to my collection. I sound like a confused idiot who is writing just for the sake of writing...

Ashley drops her pen and leans back in jer chair eyes closed feeling the sudden temperature drop... 'Oh, what time is it? Must be late evening.Mom might be back soon, I am hungry.' Her stomach rumbles n she pats it and sighs.....

Ashley! Ashley Reece! Are you up there?

ASHLEY!

There is a sudden bang frim the floor below and little miss Ash wakes up with a start.

Mom?!

Ash I've been calling you since ages, what were you doing? says Mrs. Olivia Reece in slightly irritated tone.

I-er-I...I just dozed off, mom. I am sorry.

Leave whatever you were doing before you dozed off and come down fast.

As if there was any need for calling her, she was already half way down the stares which opened into a hall adjacent to which is a warm kitchen and dining room.

Hurry up. Your dad must be home any moment. Go get the plates and cutlery from the kitchen.

Within five minutes the dinning table was set, Ashley was too hungry but held her seat with perfect calm. Any minute frim now dad will be home and yes, her father, it was her father's friends birthday yesterday so he and his friends from his musical band were out for a reunion trip in forests doing camping and stuff.

She was eagerly waiting for her father to be home, she always adored the little family of hers and felt blessed to dine with her jolly dad, beautiful mother and innocent little 6 year old sister Grace.

But something is wrong today.....she feels pretty...OFF..

Time ticjed past hours went out but dad didn't turn up.....her anxiety was increasing.

Grace and Ash, now it looks like your father is pretty too much busy with his bandmates and has forgotten to dine woth his little family, but you two dint need to starve, here help yourself before all these dishes turn cold.

'Something is wrong... Something is wrong...'

Ash couldn't help but feel the continuous pressure building in her chest, Why dad isn't home yet? Why hasn't he answered mom's calls? Is he okay? why his friends are also not picking up their phones?....

'Ash' it was her mother's calm voice that woke her from her trance...."Ash, dad will be hime soon, just eat, okay."
