Chapter 16: Where’s that machine?(PART 2)
The two waited in the car for hours in the car as it automatically scanned people and vehicles that passed it. They had been in the car since the morning and had not found any hope in finding the machine.
"When is it all gonna..." beep beep, beep beep.
"Finally," Mr. Marcus said, then he turned his van on and started following the blue car that caused the beeping.
Tyler used his phone to take pictures of the vehicle's registration plate.
The blue car drove into an alley, then four men came out of the car and walked into what looked like an abandoned building. Tyler and Mr. Marcus came out of the car. Tyler had already linked his eyes with Mr. Marcus's communication center-back in the Spark HQ.
The men entered a building that looked like it had been abandoned for years. Tyler scanned the building for the plan and he also saw that there were ten people inside the building with the machine on the second floor and all of them were carrying arms. He told Mr. Marcus this, then Marcus called his back-up to stay close to the building. Two men joined Mr. Marcus and Tyler to enter the building. Mr. Marcus brought out his touched his waistband to make sure that his stun-gun was still with him. They moved toward the building with caution.
Crack, Crack.
The two men following them had been shot. Tyler and Mr. Marcus jerked for the door.
"RUN," Mr. Marcus screamed.
Crack, thump.
Marcus fell to the ground. Tyler stopped to help him up but he saw blood rushing down his stomach. He used his force shield to protect himself.
"SIR!," Tyler Screamed.
"Go on I'll call for help,"
"I can't ..."
"I SAID GO!," Mr. Marcus screamed, "We've come too far."
"Yes, sir."
Tyler ran into the building still with his force shield around him. He stopped at the door and from the building plan, he knew that he was two floors away from the machine. He climbed the building speedily.
Crack, Crack.
Two bullets flew past him. Tyler used his sonic scream which caused the windows around him to shatter. He ran towards the sound of the bullets then he collected the two guns the men had used to shoot at him. He teleported to the second floor and saw four men surrounding what looked like a generator but smaller Tyler scanned the machine and saw that the machine contained the Sadium element. Tyler tried to blast the machine but one of the men shot his hand. Blood rushed down his hands. Tyler screamed for help but no one came. His eyes closed.
When he open's his eyes he sees a man holding a gun on his forehead. Tyler behind the man holding a gun against him. Tyler blasts a ray of energy towards the man. The man flies back and hits his back on the wall. People enter the room and start shooting at Tyler. He activated his force shield and continued running until he trips over something and falls on the floor.
Tyler looked at what it was and saw that it was the machine. The men surrounded the Tyler holding guns towards him.
"DON'T SHOOT," Tyler begged, "PLEASE. PUT YOUR GUN DOWN OR I WOULD DESTROY THE MACHINE."
Tyler used an energy blast and destroyed the machine then he teleported out of the building. Police cars had surrounded the building and a lot of them were pointing their gun towards the building.
"Ne bougez pas ou vous serez abattu," the police shouted, "Gardez vos mains où je peux les voir."
Tyler froe with his hands in the air then he teleported away from the police cars then he transformed back into his normal clothes behind a bush then he walked back to the house he stayed in with Mr. Marcus.
Tyler walked into the house briskly and shut the door. He saw Langdon sitting down on a couch. Langdon told Tyler that Mr. Marcus had been taken on a plane flight back to Arizona for treatment and he also said that Tyler would take a plane flight back to Arizona the next day.
Tyler went up to his room and stayed thinking about the machine. His phone rang and he saw that it was Mr. Marcus who was calling him. He picked up the phone.
"Hey," Mr. Marcus said.
"Hi," Tyler said.
"Tyler, did you destroy the machine? "
"Yes," he said, "I am."
"I am okay, you do not need to worry about me,"
"Yes, sir"
"Take care, I have to catch up on my sleep," Mr. Marcus said, "Goodbye."
"Goodbye"
Beep. The call had ended.
Tyler sat on his bet while different thoughts flooded his head, none relating to the events that had just passed by. He did that until he drifted off to sleep.
The next day came and Tyler prepared for the flight. He took a cab to the airport there he took a plane to Arizona.
