Chapter 6: My expeditions (1)

Xaber:

It is so unfortunate that I have to restart my whole life, even though it is going to be a completely different life, I still have to relearn how to walk, to learn to respond to a new name. I still have to grow to my full size and it's just a big bother. In my case I also have to wait a lot before I start my main training because I would give my parents a heart attack if their baby who recently started to crawl started to train.

By now I can understand all the words said around me. Now that I can move around more, I started to explore my house. So here I am in the middle of the night, lost in a hallway of my house. I think that I underestimated the wealth of my family, to be able to afford such a big house you would have to be a king. But of course I doubt that, my father is to kind and doesn't have that air of royalty. Nevertheless, I'm still lost and I think my explorations for the night are done. The only way I could think of to get back to my room was, it hurts my pride to say this, to cry like a baby. I used some of my cultivated spirit power to amplify my voice, I think I woke up the whole house. I can hear my mother and father's footsteps rushing over. They find me on the floor, I stopped crying because I heard them coming, so now I'm just looking at them.

"I thought something happened," said my father. "Why did he stop crying all of a sudden?" asked mother.

Mother:

Why was Levi crying, he was crying so loudly that I heard him from my bedchambers which is not that closely placed to Levi's room. His voice sounded almost amplified, then he stopped the moment we came running over.

Another burning question she had was, how in the world did her baby, eight months old get out of his crib and get lost in a hallway. He just started crawling a few days ago.

Father:

My son, I wonder what you were doing, sometimes when I look him in the eyes I feel like I am being looked back with intelligence beyond my understanding. Sometimes I feel like my own son is not just an infant but an equal intellectual. I don't think that him being here in the hallway was an accident, and I think that is finding him was intentional. No, that's crazy talk, how could my son, who doesn't know how to even speak, how could he be so intelligent. That still doesn't tell me how he ended up here, but I guess we'll never know.
