Chapter 1: (Teaser)A Child’s Sour Innocence
I woke up screaming, but not for what you might think. There was no nightmare, and not from the pain of walls pressuring me, but just the need to breath. I couldn't accept loosing the steady heart beat, the serenity, the peacefulness of sleep. My source warmth and comfort being taken, I lashed out, anger consuming me. Then as easily as I had fallen, I slept.
When I woke up, I saw her. My mother. She smiled, and then sung. She sung words my tiny brain could not comprehend, and it was like magic.
The only words I can remember her sing, was 'do to others as you'd have them do to you'. I suppose that's because it seems so out of place. This world is tyrannical, villages slaughtered for one seed of potential. Two faced heroes, that fight for wealth. Jealous gods, tainting wisdom. Legends founded on the belief that might makes right. The phrase seems so controversial. I can't help but admire her.
I am meditating, I'm told it's good for your foundation. Despite the death of my parents, and the betrayal of my elder brother. I can't say I'm bothered, yet I don't know why, instead I feel empty, hollow. Like my soul has accepted it. Maybe-

Opening my eyes, I see an old man.
'What is it elder?'
"You're going to be late for your awakening ceremony!" He reminded; annoyed.
'Oh... right'
"What!? Nothing to sa- ... *sigh* sorry, I... forget sometimes. Anyways, we're gathering at the Town Hall, get moving."
I get up, and calmly walk to the polished zinc/tin mirror. Combing my white hair, then messing it up a bit. 'Huh, I guess I'm kinda cute.' I then make my way to the Town Hall.
