Chapter 7: Reah

I stood pressed against the wall frozen in fear. All these questions that I didn't know the answer to.

"I-I don't know!" I screamed.

I busted through the mob which was now blocking the doors.

"I guess I'll have to find another way out," I thought before crashing into someone.

I looked up to see it was the same girl from before. It seems she put her long light brown hair in a half up top knot with two hairstyling sticks in the knot. She wore a cherry red bodysuit that went all the way to her ankles. A purple short-sleeved vest over it that reached her midthigh. She wore black gloves that stopped before the elbow. A bow and some arrows were slung over her shoulders.

"Come with me Reah," she said calmly and quietly to me.

The girl took my arm and basically dragged me back inside the hospital. We didn't stop until we reached a small room with tinted windows.

"Wait here," Kinara said before turning to go.

"Are you at least going to tell me why they are looking for me? It's not like I could stir up all that attention by being admitted to the hospital!" I yelled at the girl, anger coursing through me.

"They haven't told you anything yet?" Kinara sighed. She put her forehead in her hand and shook it.

"How useless can Adrin be?" She mumbled before pulling out a chair.

"I suppose you remember why you were on the beach?" Kinara inquired.

I nodded.

"So Adrin and I found you and Andere unconscious on the beach. We knew both of you needed immediate attention, so we didn't call for any soldiers. We were almost to the emergency department when Adrin tells me he couldn't feel your pulse anymore. I told him to go ahead. Not thinking about his status or the trouble it would cause for the rest of us, Adrin made a scene and people had their cells, so boom the paparazzi is after you."

"Wait. You call the princes by their first names?" I exclaimed. Why was that the only thing that came to my mind? Even after hearing why the reporters were looking for me.

Kinara laughed. "Sorry did that out of habit."

All this stuff is new to me. The way the big city worked. How much more high tech this city was compared to Shino. There might even be some way to gain information on my locket. After I am discharged I know what I'm going to do, I thought. I will search for information on my real parents!
