Chapter 1: P R O L O G U E
Caroline could barely keep herself alive. She couldn't be bothered to get up and order Out-n-In and she, frankly, it would be better if she had a wheelchair or artificial legs.
Caroline, with her red hair and her bright green eyes, had totally contradicted her vibrant, energetic look every time she told her friends and family, "5 more minutes!"
It wasn't uncommon that men found her attractive, either, until they took a look into her personality. Caroline didn't describe herself as to fall for the men at her feet anyway.
She, surprisingly, was looking for one of the men that didn't immediately drool when she walked past him. She wanted the world from this unknown man. She didn't even know he existed.
So why would Caroline spend her time working her way from sleeping on the couch constantly? Why would she be scouting out the one for her when she couldn't be bothered to scout for another job or maybe a better apartment?
