Chapter 6: Spirit Jade
"Huh? Aren't I already living properly in her body?"
"All transmigrating spirits need to absorb the spirit jade in order to live properly."
"What happens if I don't absorb the Spirit Jade?"
"Then you'll have to go through hell every day living in a body that isn't yours."
"Oh."
"As I was saying, all transmigrating spirits need to absorb the spirit jade in order to survive. Your spirit is the second strongest I have ever seen. You must've been through something terrible in your past life."
Lan Xian Xia looks down when he says that. 'That's something I don't want to remember.' she thinks silently.
"However," he continues, "Your body is very weak and there is no chance that it'll be able to contain something as powerful as the spirit jade. But, I can help with that."
"Nobody in this world is willing to help a stranger," she states, " what's your true intention?"
"If you desire my help, then you need to help me overthrow the entire Middle Realm."
"What's the Middle Realm?"
"This, my dear niece, is the Middle Realm. This entire world is the Middle Realm."
"THE ENTIRE WORLD?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? NO WAY!!!!!!!!!! HOW WOULD I EVEN DO THAT?!?!?! THERE ARE 7 CONTINTENTS AND BILLIONS OF PEOPLE!!!!!!!!THERE IS NO WAY I'M GO-"
"Would you rather go through hell everyday?" He interrupts.
"...No"
"Okay, then you WILL listen to me, go through terrible torture and make that weakling body of your infinitly stronger."
"Alright" she agreed readily.

"NOOOOOOO" Lan Xian Xia shrieked in the undergroud chamber as her Uncle whipped her countinuosly. She could feel the poison her Uncle fed her seeping throughout her body, preventing her from healing and increasing the pain a thousandfold. Ever since she had said the word, she would go to her Uncle's underground chamber for 13 hours a day to suffer from terrible pain. She would only eat once a week, and drink every 3 days, enough to keep her alive. However, she would never scar because she had eaten a pill that had guaranteed that no matter how hurt she had botten, not a single trace to remain.
'This pain is not as bad as the one Mr. Nan had inflicted on me millions of times before' she thought bitterly as she hung limp from the wall. 'But, It hurts all the same.'
