Chapter 174: Step One

In reality, Carl is only a suspect and they had no evidence against him therefore he cannot be detained for more than twenty-four hours. As he was only there for questioning, sooner or later he would be released so there was no need for panic. However, Kim couldn't think straight.

"You'll be charged for obstruction of justice if you don't say anything!" The first policeman kept shouting, while Carl blocked him out totally.

Not long after, perhaps the policeman got tired of shouting, he stormed out after kicking his seat.

The second policeman who had been silent from the start was actually sent by the King to observe and ensure no bodily harm comes to Carl. So after his colleague left, he took out his phone and made a report.
