Chapter 168: Biological Reaction

When Isabella received a call from Chamberlain, he did not state what was wrong. Only that it was an emergency and he had sent someone her way so she should return home immediately.

She recalled that the last time there was an emergency, she had almost been whisked abroad along with her mother. Apparently it was for their safety but thankfully it was a false alarm. This time around she could only pray that she does not have to leave.

Her life had just settled for a bit, she had two friends and even someone she liked. Going abroad did not sit well with her, she could only hope that it's not as serious as they think. But she also understood that it could be more dangerous since her father was running for Head of State.

"Young Miss, we've arrived."

The drivers words broke her from her thoughts. "Thank you," she politely said before alighting.
