Chapter 9: Primalux Academy Tour
I entered through the gate into the campus. The academy's name 'Primalux Academy' was engraved onto the top of the entrance gate. My first impression of the academy is that it's huge and probably extremely expensive maintain.
The surrounding environment was full of nature. Beautiful green grass and foliage was one thing but the effort it would take to maintain it would be tremendous. And then I remembered that there is probably a system to help with all this.
I walked within the crowd of new arrivals who had come to the academy as well. People of very different appearances all followed the path in order to get to the orientation. However I broke off with them once we reached a fountain and went over to the beautiful 16 year old girl sitting on it.
"Charlotte." I called out to her.
She looked up and saw me. She gave a smile and waved as I walked over. Some of the new entries saw me going to her and expressed surprise and I think I saw jealousy? Strange.
"Well lets go. I can give you more information than the orientation leaders." Charlotte gave a light laugh.
"Really now?" I spoke sarcastically though I did trust she wouldn't harm me in anyway.
"Let's see where should I start?" I followed along behind Charlotte as she thought about what to explain first. We kept walking till we came to the front of another gate similar to the one at the entrance.
"Well I'll start here." Charlotte spread her arms to show off the buildings behind her. "These are the dorms and that's pretty self explanatory. The right building is for guys, left's for girls. Girls are allowed into the guy's dorm but guys aren't allowed into the girl's dorm building."
I nodded in understanding. It was pretty understandable to me why such rules were in place.
"Alright." I said.
"Oh right your dorm number do you know it."
"No..."
Shit I should have gone to orientation. Damn it. I turned and began to run but Charlotte pulled me back.
She didn't pull me back with her hands though but with a spell. I guess her system taught her that spell. Or maybe a teacher?
"Don't worry I have your dorm key here." She pulled a key with keychain with the characters 'M-15' on it. She passed them over to me and said, "Okay that's your dorm key don't lose it. Now I'll show you where classes take place."
I followed along behind her as we headed back to the fountain and headed in the same direction everyone else did. Now that I think about how come Charlotte is the only student out right now that's not new.
"Charlotte how come I see now other older students here?"
"Oh that? Well I have special permissions as your my sibling, Dad has some influence, and both of us have mythical systems." She said without making a big deal out of it. "There are some other reasons but those are the main ones."
"Okay then."
Then we reached a large area with multiple large buildings around.
"This is the main area for classes. Magic, Combat, Core Classes and..." she pointed to all the buildings listing what type of classes were held there.
"And here is your schedule." She pulled out a small triangular device. She approached me and put it on the stuck it onto the side of my head.
Violet light flickered and then a screen similar to the system's but in a different color appeared. On the screen I had the choice of profile, map, messenger, and web available. It seemed that the selected option was based off what I look at.
"What's this thing?"
"It's created by a teacher here. Its connected to the internet and has all a student's information on it. It has the functions of your phone basically." Charlotte explained as she brushed some of her hair back. "I have it too."
I had never heard the school had such a thing.
"It's pretty cool. It kinda looks like a system screen." It probably based off one to make it easy for the students. Charlotte told me how to turn it off and then lead me to another location as well as pointing out the cafeteria.
"Here is my favorite place: the dungeons." Charlotte showed off the large building. It was extremely different in appearance to all the other buildings in the school as it had a more ancient design to it. Not that it looked old, I'm just referring to the design.
As for the name I knew what it was. It was this academy's most well known place. The headmaster had the ability to create something similar to my instances however multiple people could enter. And they were permanent too.
