Chapter 8: The Final Race
Sammie decided to sleep longer the next day since the final race is scheduled at eight o' clock in the evening she still have plenty of time. And since its technically their last day to in Singapore they have the whole afternoon as free time. She and Ivy then decide to do some shopping in Orchard road and Chinatown Street Market after lunch.
They did intentionally skip breakfast to have brunch in Maxwell Hawker Center, it was one of the famous hawker center in Singapore.
"What do you want to order?" Ivy is looking at the several food stall unsure what to eat.
"I wanna try their chili crab here, hainanese chicken rice and char kuay teow." her eyes were glowing when naming the dish, she wants to eat.
"Let's just share so we can try more dishes, look at that one it looks appetizing" Ivy responded while pointing on the satay on one of the stall
"OK, then let's add Bak Kut Teh and Nasi Lemak" Sammie is biting her lower lip while thinking of adding more dishes to try.
Ivy looked at her in astonishment. "You really have a good appetite ha" teasing her
"I sure do, lets order dessert later, what about ice kacang?" she teased her back
after their done ordering and paying for their food, their table is full of sumptuous and delicious spread. There are at least six dishes on the table considering they are only two diners.
"Are you sure we can finish all this?" Ivy worriedly uttered
"We will sure do, have faith in my appetite" she winks at her then grin.
"Who would have thought that you have such an appetite with that figure of yours, I'm now jealous of your metabolism."
Samantha Saavedra is 5'7 and she has a gorgeous body. Her long black hair adds glamour to her small and pretty face. Her skin is smooth and flawless. Her hazel eyes are really captivating and most of all her smile will melt anyone's heart. She can be compare to those celebrities you see on the television.
"Ivy, I'm now listing you as one of my best bud or we can be travel buddies, you really know how to coax me."
"No, seriously. If I eat a lot then I should start working out otherwise I'll have fats stored on my belly." She touches her baby fats.
"Well, I don't know. I just eat what I want and I rarely work out. Maybe I'm just lucky to have a fats metabolism."
"yeah, you're lucky" Ivy agreed.
After their done eating they booked for Grab and proceed to Chinatown Street Market to do some shopping then to Orchard road as their final destination before heading back to their hotel.

Chris woke up late but was fully charge. After Sonny brought him his lunch he started with his daily workout routine. After lunch he visits his team for last minute changes, preparations and other stuff.
He was talking to the engineer when his phone rings. It was a text message from Sabrina. He finished his conversation with the engineer before she reads her message.
[ Honey, I need to go back to Manila, I will not be able to watch your race. I'll pick you up at the airport.]
His brows creased at the sight of the word "Honey". He deleted the message and puts the phone back in his pocket.

Sammie and the group arrived the at Empress Grandstand past seven in the evening. The final race will start at 8:10 pm. It will last for 2 hours.
Since it's already the final race the number of spectators increased and the crowd were livelier that the previous once. When the race is about to start the drives and constructors were introduced one by one.
When Sammie heard the name "Chris Monteverde" she screamed as loud as she can. She was full of excitement to the point that she didn't even realize that she keeps on shout "That's my future husband" several times.
On the starting Grid second place is Chris Monteverde's red car. The SF71H Ferrari, it features a longer wheelbase. The crash structure is outside the sidepods; the winglets are on the rear view mirrors. A small shark fin goes down the engine cover, and supports a low T-wing above the exhaust and spanning almost the entire width of the rear wing. The mirrors were mounted switching from a "standard" position to having them mounted on the Halo.
It's less than five minutes before the race and all personnel (except the drivers) leave the grid. As the green light flashed it signal the beginning of the formation lap, a single loop around the track. During this lap, drivers are not allowed to overtake unless it is to regain a grid position. At the end of the formation lap, the cars once again take up their positions on the grid. The safety and medical cars also take positions further back. The entire race will last for two hours.
A race official walks onto the track, behind the grid, and uses a flag to signal the race controller that the field is in place and everything is ready. The race controller initiates the starting light procedure. Green lights are no longer used to indicate the race start. Instead, a random sequence of red lights flashes until a final red light comes on and goes out. When the final red light goes out, the race begins.
The drivers jockey for position as sprint to the first corner. At this point drivers take either an offensive or a defensive strategy. There are four or five cars abreast at the beginning of the race but after the first corner, the field begins to separate and the focus shifts from general chaos to isolated battles between drivers. At this stage it is still difficult to say who's on the advantage and not.
After almost an hour Chris Monteverde made his first pit stop, after a few seconds he rev up his engine and once again doing a lap. At this point several cars were already damage, one car already stops. Half hour before the race end Hamilton is still leading followed by Monteverde. After a few more laps the two of them go side by side then he finally breaks the lead with Hamilton a few seconds behind. He maintains this position until the final lap winning the race.
Then the crowd goes wild.
