"Leaving your jacket on?" Vasco asks as he pulls of his leather jacket with one swoop. "You'll regret that" 3
Your eyes peaked from behind an unfinished wall, you were currently squatting down at a place where you believe is an abandoned construction site. 'This feels familiar...' You looked around, remembering your middle school days fighting at abandoned places and parking lots.
You had followed both Vasco and Daniel towards the location as you felt that swooping in at an appropriate time would be much cooler than just being there. Plus, that's what badasses do right? Appearing out of nowhere, taking the fame for the fight and being the badass hero right? Right?!
Now that you were thinking about it you began noticing it was a dick move. 4
"You think this is a joke huh?" Vasco says as he cracks his knuckles "Today we're going all the way. Come here, let's start"
You took one look at Daniel's petrified face before taking a deep sigh 'Whatever, let's just face him head on'
You stood up from your hiding place as a loud noise of cinder blocks crunched beneath your shoes. This caught both of their attention as you walked up to them slowly with one hand in your pocket and another scratching the back of your head
"J-Jun Gu what are you doing here!?" Daniel asked worriedly as he started sweating. Vasco stared at you with an intense gaze, one that you've only seen a hand full of times in your life.
Your scratched the back of your head as your back turned to Daniel to face Vasco. You looked at him with bored eyes "Hey, I don't know why you're so mad but you should back the fuck up and stop causing Daniel trouble"
"..." Vasco no longer looked like nice person you had seen before, he had a darker and intimidting aura than the idiot facade he had led you to believe. He was definitely the leader of a gang.
"Y-You" Vasco clenches his teeth as his body went tense, you only looked down on him as he hunched over. "Despite your looks you're nothing but a mean Boy. It's despicable seeing you protect somebody like that"
"I won't forgive you Daniel" Vasco states as he holds his hands around his head, fists up as he did a quirky pose "This is your last chance Jun Gu, don't let the bad guy take advantage of you like how he does to others. Go home Jun Gu"
"Um... Vasco, what're you talking about?" Daniel gives him a crooked smile, he felt a bit angry that Vasko would lie about that in front of you, as he puts his hands up in the air to defend himself.
You felt a sudden wind pass you as your immediate reaction was to follow it with your eyes, you turned as you saw Vasko had moved passed you quickly to give a straight jab to Daniel.
Daniel dodges it but only by a centimeter, you could literally hear his heart beating as you stood in awe at Vasco's agility that could possibly matched yours.
Vasko stands back still in a defensive position as he stared down Daniel
"Um... What was that for?" Daniel asks as he stood there completely stunned "Um did I do something wrong? I think there's a mistake"
Vasko clenches his teeth before speaking out "You despicable bastard, don't make any excuses!" He lunged forward, his fists ready to swing at Daniel before a sudden force pulled him back.
Vasco is pulled backwards as he looks at the perpetrator, you gripped onto Vasco's shoulder with an iron grip as you looked at him dead in the eye.
"Stop" You state as Vasko stares at you "I think you must be misunderstanding something. So stop before it gets serious"
"What is this! What have I done wrong!? What is this about? I've done nothing wrong so please at least don't drag Jun Gu into this!" Daniel yells at Vasco as he seems taken back and bewildered
You let go of Vasco's shoulders as he pulls himself up, he was stunned. He didn't know what to think. Was Daniel telling the truth? Or was he just a really good liar? But either way...
"Just give me the money that you got from that lady." Vasco bites his bottom lip before holding out his hand "Give it up." +
'There's a heavy misunderstanding going here' You gave a blank face as you watched Daniel standing there, his face twist in up in anger as he clenches his fists
"No way....I will not let you take it away from me like that"
" i will not give it up" Daniel said that with face full of anger
"So that's how it is." Vasco's grins "See Jun Gu? This guy's is showing his true colors" +
'I swear imma punch this dummy straight across his jaw' You thought
"No... Never!" Daniel gives a basic boxing pose as your eyes widens— That pose... Zack Lee?! "No one will steal from me!" He says with a trembling voice 3
"You won't give something that isn't yours? Selfish bastard. Guys like you are all selfish"
You took a glance at Daniel's form, everything was perfectly in form as if he was an experienced boxer himself. You took one exhale before taking a step back as you leaned back, shoving your hands in your pockets.
'No point of me being a savior this time' 1
"Okay." Vasco says as he returned back to his original posture "Come here"
Daniel pushes forwards, lunging his body towards Vasco as he propels his fist straight at Vasco's face, giving a perfect straight punch. However Vasco tries countering with his own straight punch, you watched this all happen in slow motion with a blank face.
"..."
"..." Vasco's entire gang stood as they looked down, utterly speechless at the sight. +
"What- What happened?" One of The Burned Knuckles crew stutters out, his words slicing through the heavy atmosphere.
Burn Knuckles...
"Vasco?" One of the guys says as they look at Vasco's body, his hair over his eyes as his body sprawled on the dirt. They looked at his head, bandages perfectly wrapped around his forehead.
We're done now!

Daniel stood his his fat form before buttoning up his uniform with a blank gaze, 'I got the money and everything, I won the fight too... But how did I do that?!'

Back to Vasco
"Vasco! Do you hear me?!" Jace yells worriedly, Vasco stayed silent as he thinks back just a few minutes ago.
'The timing was perfect' Vasco thinks 'But before I could've landed my blow he turned and delivered a back spin elbow... That guy was definitely not an out boxer. And Jun Gu iron grip and reflexes could've surpassed mine, if s
he would've punched me... I don't want to know what'll happen.'
I was wrong, I could've never beaten any of those two.'
Vasco lifts his hand over his head
Flashback
Vasco, with as much consciousness as he could watches you squat down and wrap bandages around his injury. Vasco looks at you as he tries to speak
"Why?" He asked in a breathless tone
"Because you're not a bad guy" You said, your eyes looking straight into Vasco's. It was just like before but instead of a glare in your eyes he could see bright orbs that stared at him with integrity.
Vasko smile and thought "so...youre not bad guy after all ..my friend"
As you tied up Vasco's bandages, you nodded at the finished work and tried standing up from your squat.
Instead of standing up fully you could feel something holding you down, you looked at Vasco as he had held your hand with a tight squeeze.
"Thankyou....Y-You're not a bad guy either"
You gave him a bewildered look as you gave him a crooked smile. "Daniel isn't a bad guy either too ya know"
As this all happened Daniel watched this from afar
You gave Vasco a nod
You turned and calmly walked towards Daniel, hands in your pockets and finger in the air spinning around a half gone roll of bandages.
"Let's just go before his gang gets here"
"Jace" Vasco mutters out "I lost"
Big ears looks down at Vasco 'No, Burn Knuckles—'
