Chapter 3: Plan
Morino was stading infront of a calendar, he just finish circling a date. He nodded to himself, this was it, he had only one more week to go in this hell hole.
"All my hinded prep, is done, all I need is to set things in motion, soon me and little brother will be much better of then now." A grin was on his face, as he picture everyone shock face as they realize, that they were all to later to stop his plan.
"It was a real pain to set this up, and to double check everything but if this works. Me and little bro are going to have the last laught." Morino was so damn proud of his plan, he had taking a year to set every piece on the board. At any moment someone could have come around and mess it all up, but no one did, because no one had bother to check all the fine print.
"Still I can't believe, that o one caught on. This only proves that the administration system is absolute craps, good for me bad for the whole village." His smile was the perfect image of an evil master mind whose plan had work.
Exactly one year agos, in the library he found a way out for him and Naruto. Apparently not one persone had change the laws about the age when one was consider old enought to run one own house hold. Two years agos when he lost everything was a very dark moment for him, so beside looking into the legal ramification in helping Naruto. He also check out the laws on ownership on property. He found out that what the council did was completely legal, immoral sure, but legal a big yes.
The age that was consider to be old enought to own a property was seven, so him being only five at the time was consider to young to understand the upkeep of the property, without any legal guardian. Their was of course a whole bunch of clause for returning everything, but it was clear that it would take years if not an entire life, just to get back any scraps that the council hadden shallowed up. In short it wasn't really worth the trouble.
The second piece of the puzzle, was once one own property he or she could adopt a child. The best part was that one didn't even need all that much approval from the Hokage or the council. Everything was done by paying a set amount then selection an child, the child only requirement was that he or she could not have any living or present parent slash guardian. If those two things could be proven, then the rest was up to both the buyer and child to agree or not to the adopted.
"Since Naruto has been dump in the orphanage, and no one has filed to be his guardian. Im all set as long as no last minute surprise that is." Morino sigh as cross his fingers hoping that whatever it was that had all of them forget this would remain until the end of the week.
He already had the house, well more like a room pick out. For both him and Naruto, with his paycheck it was all he could afford.
"Once I get a house, the old man promise to take me on as an apprentice." His fist came up as he looked up with a determined looked, the promise he had labbor so hard for was in the bag.
During his task of performing errants around the village, he learn the wear about of various shops. In one of his runs he came across a smiths, run by an old man who would from time to time allow him to work for some extra cash. This was were he got the money for his plan for him and Naruto. It payed triple what he would make in one week at the orphanage in one day. It took him months but he finally convinced the old man on hiring him full time once he was old enought to leave the orphanage. He even insisted on a contract, inside it stated that he would work between certain time and days for a period of four years. Also it had the amount the old man would pay him every two weeks.
"Fufufufuf, Im sure that the old man thinks that he'd got himself some cheap labbor. But once he learn whose my little brother he will be force to either continue to pay me for work, or risque giving me ownership of his shop." A grin was on his face as he recalled that day, as he pretended to hesitated on signing a contract he'd written himself. The old man had not even thought that the contract he had brought out of his desk was switch for one that Morino had written. The old man had been so damn excited that he'd only given a quick glance at the contract, the paper was completely legal, it was just more beneficial toward Morino.
As he was day dreaming of a better tomorrow, the matrion yelled at him to stop dilly dallying and get back to work. He bended down and apologize as he grinded his teeth in rage, she had him working extra hours. Since when she had not so subtilely ask if he wanted a small raise in working here until, she introduce him to a good friend for work.
Of course what she was really saying was, work here for another four years for a small raise of 50Y and il introduce you to someone else who I know that will also exploit you, by squeazing every last drop out of you.
Sure he could've told her to go suck an egg, but there was a small chances she would looked around for some payback if he left. If she found out about his plan then all of his scheming would go up in smokes. So he stayed in order to present her a target she could hurt, instead of a weakness she could exploit. Also him being here and having pist her off, made it a little easier on Naruto.
