Chapter 9: Strange turn of events

The chimneys' blackened smoke risen up as the new day has begun. Shizumi fallen asleep in the grim alley. Surprisingly or not, not all her stuff were stolen there including her new friend. She was already awake. The small naked half-snake half-human girl curiously watched as people watch and go in the roads. She already knew that people will kill her if they saw her so she kept her distance. The new words she heard are already engraved it. She learned much. As the Sun's beaming light started burning Shizumi's face she finally woke up. Reine slithered closer to her step-mother and sat between her legs. Shizumi take a long yawn and after somewhat getting back to the real world she jumped. She...kinda forgot about the Lamia girl that she took in.
