Chapter 8: Friday Morning
Gold decided to call Glair.
Calling Glair.. "thank goodness you called," Glair said on the other line. "I might require your help. Can you come shopping with me today?" Gold said.
"I'd love to go shopping" Glair responded. She's aware that some things are not right. Gold never asked anyone for help before. Not even from her.
At the Mall...
"So, what kind of shopping are we goin' to do?" Glair ask.
"I'm gonna need a wedding guest kind of clothing."
Glair just stood there waiting for her to tell her that it was a joke.
She totally knew whose Wedding she'd be attending.
"you're an expert on this kind of thing. I just don't wanna look dumb in front of everyone." Gold exclaimed.
Glair kept staring at her until she came back to her senses.
"Alright, Is there a particular dress code you need?" She asks professionally without showing how much she worries her.
"I guess anything will do," Gold answered without showing any emotion.
"We better start looking then," Glair said while giving Gold her best smile.
Kilk calling Glair...
"What are you doing right now without me?"
"Just meet us later. Let's have early dinner" Glair said.
"Would love that. Tell Gold I said Hi." Kilk said.
"She said Hi-Back. See you at Pound by Todd English later."
Glair takes Gold's arm. "Let's get you an extravagant outfit."
"'I like this one for you," Glair said.
"I would like to remind you first that this is not my wedding." Gold said with a funny tone.
They both end up laughing.
Gold bought perfect shoes, Gown, Jewelry. Glair even bought her a perfume as a gift.
"I want to recommend you a Salon for tomorrow. Piandré Salon. Get everything done there and Make sure to mention my name. I'll do you an appointment" Glair said with a giggle.
Gold and Glair are enjoying the shopping together. Glair bought a lot for herself than Gold. Like she is the one who needed to attend a celebration.
They're almost done for the day. They went to a spa and pampered themselves.
"Oh my, I am having so much fun. I almost forgot we are meeting Kilk at Pound's" Glair laugh.
"We better get there before he does. I don't want your soon-to-be boyfriend waiting." Gold teased her.
"You..." that's all that Glair could say.
At Pounds...
"I feel so pampered to eat dinner" Glair complained.
"me too. I feel like ditching your lover." Gold said laughing.
"I feel bad talking behind his back like that but you're right." they both laugh hysterically.
"I'm finally here gals. Did you miss me?" Kilk said excitingly.
The two look at each other and left out a laugh.
"Yes, we did. Come here and Let's start eating."They start ordering dinner.
"So, what are you guys busy about that I'm not a part of?" Kilk ask
"I'm invited to a wedding."Gold answered.
Everything turned into silence.
Kilk doesn't even know what to say.
"We went shopping and pampered ourselves." Glair cut the silence.
Kilk is still out of words.
"We had so much fun today without you. It's so nice not being your third wheel." Gold said to make it less awkward.
"That's great then." Kilk finally said with a small laugh.
Good thing the food arrived perfectly to distract everyone.
"We better start eating. Someone needs a beauty rest." Glair said.
After dinner...
Kilk takes Gold home first.
"Thank you love birds for making it less awkward by taking me home," Gold said Jokingly.
The two laugh and gave Gold a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
"Please call us anytime you suddenly need us. We will go wherever you are." Kilk said trying not to sound weird.
"Would do that. Don't worry guys." Gold said seriously.
Glair smiles at her and hugs her once again.
"You take care, okay?" Glair said.
Driving...
Kilk suddenly stopped the car.
"Is she seriously going to that wedding?" Kilk just doesn't understand why Gold needs to in the first place.
"We can't stop her anyway. I know Gold."
They both end up sighing.
Gold at home..
(I better get some rest. No matter what happens tomorrow I need full energy.) she thought to herself.
Gold makes sure her things are ready and packed. She even reminded Sech of their meeting time and place.
turn off the lights and Sang herself to sleep.
