Chapter 3: Golden Treasure Auction House
When Meng Hao entered the Golden Treasure Auction House and saw a girl walk up to him "Hello sir, are you here to buy or sell?"
The girl was a little scared because his aura was unfathomably powerful. Meng Hao answered, "I am here to sell, bring me to your manager.."
The girl quickly responded, "yes...yes follow me I will lead you to the manager."
They walked up some stairs and reached the top floor of the building. The girl opened the door and a woman was already in the room drinking tea.
The girl bowed to this woman and said "This is our young miss of the regional manager, Su Ru. She is appraising items today so you may take out what you are selling."
Meng Hao nodded and walked to the seat in front of Su Ru. The clan that ran the Golden Treasure Auction House was the Su Clan which had close ties to the Imperial Clan.
Su Ru looked at Meng Hao and tried to detect his realm but she couldn't make her on edge. Meng Hao spoke, "I am Fang Ah, I have brought 2 Pill Formula's that I would like to sell." He then took out the sheets of paper where he wrote down the pills and handed them to her.
When she saw the names her eyes went wide and she asked: "Who are you, how did you obtain such rare pill formulas?"
Meng Hao answered, "My master said he needed some mortal money for something so he asked me to sell these pills to the nearest place I could find."
Su Ru was shocked by his mannerism, and when Meng Hao said: "mortal money" she knew his master was an unfathomable figure who left the mortal world in search of cultivation. She then asked the girl who was standing outside "Bring the alchemist quickly and also bring these ingredients from the storage."
Soon the alchemist hired by the Golden Treasure Auction House walk into the room he bowed to Su Ru than he turned to Meng Hao and said: "Hello sir, my name is Alchemist Wan Cai, Ms. Ru can I see the pill formulas?"
Su Ru handed the 2 pill formula's too Alchemist Wan Cai and he started laughing "HAHA, I never thought that a beauty pill will allow me to increase my Alchemy rank!"
The ranking for most jobs there was a ranking system which was run by the individual guilds. Right now Wan Cai is a Rank 2 Alchemist so if he is saying that this pill can allow him to increase his skill to rank 2 then these pills are very miraculous.
Su Ru instantly turned to Meng Hao and said: "Sir, I can give you 100,000 Yuan for the pill formulas."
Meng Hao nodded his head and extended his hand waiting for the money to be given. Su Ru whispered into the girl's ears and the girl ran downstairs and came back with a tray, and in the middle of the tray was a ring.
Meng Hao saw the ring and said: "If you are giving me the Spatial Ring so you can gain ties with me, I will much rather carry a large bag of money."
Spatial Rings were rare for clans in small cities like Skywood City but since the Golden Treasure Auction House has ties with the Imperial Clan it isn't hard for them.
Su Ru wanted to curry favor Meng Hao but when he immediately stated her plan she stuttered "Nnnooo...no, there is no plan like it is just a little gift from us. Please accept it, there is also a Golden Dragon Card which allows you to have VIP seating and the best treatment in every Golden Treasure Auction House around the empire."
Meng Hao swiped his hand and the ring flew to his hand. He inserted his spiritual energy into the ring and saw the 100,000 Yuan and the Golden Dragon Card inside the ring. Meng Hao bowed and started leaving the room, but Su Ru ran to him and asked: "Sir, we are having an auction in an hour, so if you want to stay and see the items you might be able to buy something."
Meng Hao forgot about the auction since he didn't even have money to go to an auction, but now that he some money he wanted to see what he could buy.
So Meng Hao stayed in the room for an hour silently before the girl came back and brought Meng Hao to the VIP Room in the upper deck. The 3 major clans of Skywood City were already there the Meng Clan, the Ouyang Clan, and the Duan Clan.
The 3 Patriarch's were already sitting and when Meng Hao looked around he saw that Ouyang Ru and Su Ru were already inside the room. When Meng Hao walked into the room Su Ru ran to him and introduced him to the everyone "This is Fang Ah, he brought us 2 miraculous Pill Formula's which we are going to use in our next auction."
The Patriarch's looked at Meng Hao with great curiosity and Ouyang Ru took the lead to introduce herself "I am Ouyang Ru, the young miss of the Ouyang Clan. My master is part of the Wilderness Spirit Sect and I will be going there after the Skywood Competition next week."
Meng Hao took a glance at Ouyang Ru and said: "Yes, I have heard about you."
Ouyang Ru and the Patriarch looked at each other with excitement, Ouyang Ru spoke with enthusiasm "You have heard about me? That is great!"
Meng Hao snorted "Yes, I heard that a boy named Meng Hao was your fiancee and you broke the contract by trying to embrace him by trying to embellish him with a rank 2 herb. I also heard that the Meng Clan stole the Deeds to his property. The mortal world makes me sick."
Most of these issues spread throughout the city like wildfire and so it wasn't strange for this master to have all this knowledge but he didn't even save a little face for both the Ouyang Clan and the Meng Clan.
Both of the Patriarch's and Ouyang Ru's faces went red when they heard this master rebuking them.
Ouyang Ru was about to respond when a gong was hit and the sound rang throughout the halls.
"The Golden Treasure Auction is now commencing."
