Due to the trials being in an arena, there were countless videos online. I had a lot of free time before I could play B.L.A.N.K so I had watched a great deal of them. Of the combinations I had seen, the one before me was going to be the most troublesome.
Like the first round, I chose to not use my shield and just wield my sword. This would allow me to switch to a two-handed stance if I needed more power, which I determined I would need while looking at the mountain of metal charging across the sand at 200% speed.
My opponent had used the sub-skill charge, which propelled the user at high speed towards the target. It is a great skill to use in combination with other sub-skills for greater damage.
I mentally prepared and calculated my next few moves. As I hoped, my enemy activated his second sub-skill making his weapon shimmer as he came within range of me. He attacked with a powerful thrust, but the attack hit air.
Miss!
I had dropped into a roll to my left, using my small size to stay close to the ground.
He turned to his right to face me but I had once again dropped into a roll, this time to his left. I hid in the blind spot created by his tower shield. With the tip of my foot I pushed on the bottom of his shield. Tower sheilds are held with the forearm on the top of the shield, if you place a little bit of pressure on the bottom the top of the shield will tilt, leaving a perfect gap to attack in.
I did this and jumped into the air as the shield tipped forward and I slid my sword over the top and into the exposed neck of my opponent. I grabbed with both hands and used power attack as I thrust the sword into his neck.
Blood gurgled and spurt as the sword went in deep.

The metal gate began to open up as the man digitized and dematerialIzed into nothingness. A moment later my next opponent exited from the dark of the tunnel.
Time for round 3.
