5. DON'T LIE TO FRIENDS

Longhui woke up and the first thought that crossed her mind was that she hadn't taken off her makeup before crashing and also that Yuki moves a lot in her sleep. Ben and Yuki and had crashed at Longhui's and it was funny how the three of them squeezed themselves to sleep. Longhui freshened up and let them sleep. In the meanwhile, she checked the website which was doing better than expected yet hadn't hit the goal, but that could only be told with time so Longhui shut the laptop and almost sprinted to the kitchen as she needed some lemon water and filling breakfast. She was almost halfway through her glass when she saw Ben sleep walking and Yuki leaning on him for support.

They joined Longhui at the dining table and 3 pancakes down, she broke the news to them regarding the status of the website. Ben nodded in silence as if he were making mental notes and Yuki was still quite hung over to comprehend anything that Longhui said. And then suddenly Ben asked with an arched eyebrow and a fork full of pancake to his mouth,

"Were you with someone at the bar last night?" his question laced with suspicion.

"Oh yeah, you were gone...umm for so long" Yuki said with a pout.

Longhui felt like she was caught in the act. She didn't know if she could talk about what happened last night because what would she tell them, she couldn't know anything apart from his name.

"Not really, I was just tired" said Longhui, her eyes focused as she cut through the pancake.

"Oh okay, because I am not sure but I think I saw Aidan Hang on the seat next to you, the guy looks so better in person man" Ben said in a casual manner.

Longhui had turned into stone, blood rushing to her ears as if she had seen a ghost. She immediately lost all appetite, how could Ben possibly know him? She had to find out but that required her to put her non existent acting skills to use.

"Aidan Hang who?" She asked with the most confused look on her face and Ben who was focused on his blueberry pancakes fell for it.

"Oh, it's Dylan Hang's son!"

"WHAT? you mean Dylan Hang? That superstar?"

"Crazy right? I was shook too, rarely in town, just got back from finishing college in the States it seems."

Longhui's mind had blanked out at all this information being thrown her way, how could she possibly not register that about him last night because come on, who doesn't know the Hangs. She was shook, she wanted to shake Ben up and tell him everything she was feeling and felt last night but it was nothing concrete, you do get carried away under the influence of alcohol and Longhui certainly didn't wanna come across as delusional but looking at how casually Ben referred to Aidan, her heart sank a little thinking of keeping it from him even if it was hardly any exchange of six sentences.

Longhui couldn't stop thinking about Aidan and what happened last night, long after both of them had left. She tried to focus on work and distract herself which is exactly what she did and it worked. In the evening, she went in for a facial, got her nails done and shopped a bit. Longhui was on her IG feed scrolling through pictures of colorful buildings in Hong Kong when she received a DM. And it was Ben.

"SEE, I TOLD YOU, I KNEW IT WAS HIM, MY MAN KYLE WASN'T KIDDING ME .." read the text.

"WHAT? WHO? WHAT DO YOU MEAN?" Longhui replied

Ben sent a picture of Aidan taken last night when he was casually leaning over the railing, sipping on his drink.

Longhui froze. Ben went on to explain,

"LAST NIGHT, I BUMPED INTO KYLE WHO HAPPENS TO MANAGE PR FOR THE CLUB, HE WAS RAVING ABOUT THE DJ AND WHO'S WHO ATTENDING LAST NIGHT!"

"OH, I SEE, THATS NICE!" Longhui replied rather blankly not knowing what she was saying.

"HE ASKED ME TO HIT HIM UP, IN CASE, WE GO NEXT TIME, CAN GET US ON THE LIST ;)"

"HAHAHA, I HEAR YA" Longhui replied and sat there with her head in her hands. She'd rather not be on the list through Kyle because there's a chance that he spotted Aidan and her together last night, she also thought about how Kyle had sent the picture to Ben. Now, Ben not only deserved to know but now that Longhui had also lied to him, was only going to get her into further mess.
