Chapter 9: RUSH THE ENEMY
"MA'AM the Templars have brought an interdictor; we can't warp out,". The NPC who spoke bore a worried face as he configured the rest of the data into the battle room. "Boys we don't have a choice," Lynda started. "We have to do the tried and true strategy. This is open space , and we only have a corvette to combat an entire fleet. The corvette can last 23 hours and counting in our cloak. The only people who can get on the ship are you men and women who have reached Celestial class. Use your warp abilities at 1 hour from now dismissed,".
As 8 other celestials began to walk out, the trio stayed. As soon as they were alone Lynda spoke. "This is was a trap from the star,".
" I agree Teach let us off easily, and it's common knowledge this ship is almost entirely magic proof," added David.
"Bryan then asked the obvious question"But who?".
They didn't have to think hard or long. They didn't even say the name out loud. They gave each other knowing looks as they went back to their duties.
"Hydra Corporation" David thought to himself. They were the biggest rivals to their group of mercenaries named the Blazed Claw.
However David still saw hope. Their cloaking and evasion was better on his ship, and the crew were all a strong brother band. They all were there from the inception of the group. Corporations had domains of land which they controlled. Mercenary groups however had support from established nations. The three nations were the Rising Dragon Empire, The Republic, and the Diabolic Triumvirate. Automatons and Templars had beach heads into the galaxy throughout the Black Space. An hour passed. The tension was felt by everyone on the ship. How many would survive? Who would survive? Is this mission possible? As they asked themselves questions Lynda turned on the intercoms," I want everyone to remember two things about why we are in this situation. One we mercenaries fight tooth and nail for money. Two risk and reward come hand in hand. Trust your comrades, have faith in yourselves as you RUSH THE ENEMIES. Prepare to board in one minute Lynda out.
Th celestials powered up as they drew near the interdictor. 28 simultaneous teleportations occurred and all at once only the silence could be heard.
