Hey Journal, it's me, April Lee. It's been a week since the incident at soccer practice and I still feel just as bad. I just went to get blood work today so that they could see if anything was going on there. They had to put a needle in my arm and let me tell you something, I HATE NEEDLES! There was a really nice lady who came into the room and began to talk to me asking the normal questions nurses ask. She then told me she had to prick my arm so she began to clean my arm with a sterile wipe. On one arm stood my mom and sister holding my hand and the other this terrifying women who seemed just seconds ago very kind. She jabbed the needle into my arm and I felt a painful prick and then in a instance the pain was gone. I looked at my arm and began to see blood, lots of it going through a small tube into a little glass bottle. I began to feel queasy as I watched more blood come out of me than ever before. The lady (who I'm still not sure how I feel about her) finished taking my blood and in a quick movement removed the needle and covered my womb with a bandage leaving behind a tiny bruise. The most pain was at the beginning but it still pinched a bit when she removed the needle. We are supposed to get the results of the blood work sometime tomorrow. Now that you have heard in great detail about my first blood work experience I have a very important thing happening tomorrow. No I don't mean the results to my blood work if that's what your thinking. I mean tomorrow is February 26th which means it's my birthday and party! I'm so excited! I'm turning 15 which means I'll be much more mature and cool... just kidding probably not. Anyways as I have mentioned in the past I'm going to a movie with all my friends. I'm trying to decide what I should wear? What would a 15 year old wear? And how should I do my hair, straight or curly? These are questions for another day. I've had a very eventful day and as a result am quite tired so, for now it's April Lee signing out.
