Once I thought it was just a game, however, I was wrong.
The excruciating pain creeping to my soul proved that it was not the virtual realm anymore. In my vision, there were no more health bars, no more numbers.
It was just real.
In this world, I am no longer a bummer with a cureless disease, I am now a warrior and a noble one. This phenomenon only referred to one thing, it was, without a doubt, transmigration.
Everwar was one of a million virtual reality realms existed in the 23rd century. It was a complex command and conquer game. The one that piqued my interest and caused my addiction.
After completing the game with all its different paths. The game asked a very odd question.
'Are you real?'
(Yes) , (No)
The game that took me no more than 2 years to finish. I was simply satisfied.
It was only when the disease that continuously growing within finally took my life.
My final answer was of course, Yes. In my only short lived life, the game was my everything.
Happiness, sadness, feelings that I was unable to experience on the real one. I had it all.
Yet, it doesn't matter.
I
Am
Dead
Anyways.
However,
The darkness that took over was transient.
I was able to open my eyes, in a very familiar world.
A world of never-ending conflict, a fight for survival.
This was Everwar.
