Chapter 9: Prisoner's Labyrinth 1
Never thought she would fall asleep in a bench. Currently sneaking her way to the dorm since half hour already passed the curfew time. She hide and look around in every corner she go. Until one corner left. When she made sure no one is around the hallway she run as fast as she could in her dorm room.
Shutting the door slowly, she breath out. She can't imagine what might happen if she would be caught. She would be in big trouble, she doesn't want all their attention if she would be announce she was sneaking outside the dorm in curfew hours.
When she was about to walk toward her bedroom, she heard a thud which made her alarmed. Someone is inside her room. How could that be possible? No one can get inside each dorm room without the owner's key.
She saw her window is open, which gave the room dim light. She reached for the switch of light. But before she could even lit the room, a figure went out the room through the window. She followed it but she failed to see where it go and identify who or what kind of creature that was.
Walking towards her classroom, she could hardly keep herself up. She never had her good sleep last night after the incident. She tried to figure out what creature she just saw, so she waited if that thing would come back.
"There she is, looks like she never had a sleep"
"Maybe she's regreting accepting the test"
"A pitty indeed, she doesn't know very well what will happen to her"
As she take her seat, all their attention was on her. But, her mind was wandering that she didn't hear what they were saying about her.
The classroom suddenly became quiet. A group of five entered the room, they took their usual seat at the back. Mandy could hardly care who just arrive, that she never moved from taking her nap.
"Did you see that? She never really respect"
"Who does she think she is? Does she never really know who they are?" Murmurs of her classmates.
A piece of paper was held in Mandy's desk. From the abrupt sound of placing the paper made Mandy to raise her head. She then recognize the person infront of her, it was the person who just gave her the challenge. Maybe its their leader in this class.
"When was it?"
"Do you know when was it"
"She's definitely be nervous about it"
She picked the paper and read the content. It was the rules and the instruction of the exam she was going to take. She thought it was a writen exam but it wasn't. Maybe their standards here are not all base in academic but as well as the ability, skill and talent.
"You better show yourself tonight" She said before leaving and back to her seat.
It was writen in the letter, and the place was also in it. She doesn't know how she could manage to their challenge, she has never been used to her ability. Does she not have a time to practice? Why does they gave her a small amount of time to prepare herself?
The horizon slowly turning black, indicating it was night. Mandy was already dress up. She doesn't have any formal attire for the event, so she manage to use her PE uniform.
After several trees she pass through, she arrived at a huge wall and a huge gate. The gate blew a strong wind after it was opened, Mandy barely stand. She walk towards it, but she noticed no one is around. She was welcomed with a bunch of obstacles. It looks like a marathon.
A voice suddenly spoked, she never saw who it was.
"Mandy Frost, you've enentered the Prisoner's Labyrinth. The only thing you need to do is getting out of this place....ALIVE" a deafining laugh could hear after it.
The gate closes at the back of Mandy. She could feel and hear her heartbeat so fast and loud. She doesn't know what will happen to her now, But she need to move-on and face her challenge.
