Chapter 1: Prologue

Most say death is the end, but I never thought or believed that for a second. If I told anyone I thought that way, most would call me a dreamer or perhaps an idealist. Yet in the midst of all this, there stood the three who agreed with me. The three who I learned to trust, call my family and, when death reached them, the three I learned to cry for. After this, I found myself wondering if I was even alive anymore. I knew I wasn't mentally, no doubt about it, but physically was a different story. I could feel the sharp horns prick my hands when I run my fingers through my hair, the pointy tail twitch against everything it touched and the wings that ever so graciously knocked stuff over. I knew I couldn't be called human anymore, yet I still tried to get people to accept me, they never did. My stupid desires to live again got both my wings ripped off and scars all over my body, some of which were not caused by others.
