Chapter 12: Into the Gobgeon (I'll Leave Now.)

Keres reached the entrance of the dungeon and saw a guild shack next to it. There was a young man within the shack who saw Keres walking up. "Welcome adventurer may I interest you in a map of the first few floors of the dungeon for one-thousand valis?" Keres reached into his backpack while grabbing the three goblin ores he got from killing the ones in the forest.

Holding the orbs out with both of his hands. "May I use these instead of valis to pay for the map?" The young man examined the orbs carefully, smiled, and nodded.

"Yea no problem three goblin ores for four hundred valis each. That will leave you with two hundred left." The young man said as he grabbed the orbs and gave Keres the map and his change. "By the way my name is Urien sir. I should still be here by the time you come out of the dungeon unless you plan to sleep in there."

"Thank you Urien. Keres. I'll see you in a few." He said as he put the map into his backpack and while doing so put the valis into his storage. He began his descent into the dungeon arriving at the "beginners road".

Entering he enjoyed the atmosphere of the dungeon. He began to revert back to his old man walk. While he was calmly going along he kept an ear out for any enemies.

(I wonder why the dungeon comes with lights? Was it artificially made?) Keres tried to remember the lore of the dungeon but ultimately couldn't. While doing so the walls of the dungeon began to crack and open as four green goblins walked out and confronted him. Seeing them Keres smiled.

"I recommend you go back into the wall."

The goblins of course couldn't understand what he was saying and even if they did they would've still attacked. Of the four goblins two had clubs while the other two had bowz and arrerz. The goblins with clubs began to run towards Keres as the other two notched their arrerz and pulled. Keres stopped smiling as he grabbed both of the hammers from their holsters and threw one of his hammers at the two charging goblins. Seeing the hammer fly at them the two golbins just moved their heads to the side a bit to dodge. As the hammer flew by the two club goblins raised their weapons and swung at Keres knees.

Before their attack could land they saw him disappear. Keres reappeared along side the twirling hammer which had reached the two bowz goblins. Grabbing it he swung at both of their heads.

*Crack* *Crack* *Crack* *Crack*

Both goblins slumped two the floor and began to dissipate. Turning around he stretched his shoulders and neck.

(Hmmm. A little too easy but not bad for a warm up.)

The club goblins turned around. Just as they did a figure appeared right before their eyes and two glints of steel *Crack* *Crack* before everything went dark. Keres stored the four magic stones that were left behind and continued on his way. By the time Keres reached the second floor he killed twenty eight more goblins. Feeling that less an hour had passed give or take Keres kept on going.

Upon reaching the second floor he was greeted by a pack of six kobolds. They came out of the wall snarling and snapping their snouts. Keres drew his two hammers and ran towards them. The six kobolds immediately surrounded him.

(These appear to be faster and a bit stronger) Keres thought as he frowned.

The kobolds swiped their claws each aiming at different parts of Keres body. Ignoring the ones that were attacking him from behind. He swung his hammer at the fist of two kobolds swinging at him.

*Crack* *Crack* *Crack* *Crack*

The hammers broke both of their hands and made the two kobolds howl in pain. Immediately after he batted away the two fists of the kobolds he slid between the legs directly in front of him. While he was sliding through he swung his hammer right between its thighs.

*Squelch*

Keres heard and felt something go mush as he involuntarily released a shudder. The unfortunate kobold that received the attack howled in pain as it clutched its throbbing groin and began to disappear. The remaining kobolds dashed after Keres and began swiping multiple times while Keres had his back to the wall. Keres was using his hammers to deflect, parry, and bat away their fists keeping most of their attacks at bay. Because of this the kobolds paid a dear price as each of them recieved a broken fist after throwing them out for giving light scratches.

Though Keres could have made the fight much easier by using his magic. He felt that he wasn't being pushed hard enough to improve and was getting quite bored with the fights. So he decided to not use teleportation against the monsters in the upper floors unless needed to.

The kobolds seeing that their hands were useless now began to rush Keres and used their mouths. Each head was attempting to bite a limb. Turning the hammers around so Keres can use the spiked ends. He smashed the spikes into the two Kobolds heads that were closest to him as they were reaching at his arms with their jaws. Their heads were smashed as if they they were being attacked from the top and bottom. Using them as leverage he pulled both of them down as he flipped over them. They began to disappear as the last three kobolds sapped their jaws shut. Latching onto nothing but empty air.

Keres landed comfortably and faced the last three kobolds. He sprinted towards them arriving at the closest one he crouches down while knee capping it with one hammer. *Pop* *Crunch* And the kobolds legs crumples bringing it down along with it. Keres rises past it as it falls knowing its crippled and begins his assault on the remaining two. Slipping past both of their bites as they attempted to bite him reaching their backs. He immediately turns around and slams the spikes into the kobolds spines. They both become paralyzed and fall flat on their face. The fight only took thirteen seconds.

Keres sends them on their way with three quick blows to their heads and begins to collect the magic stones they left behind. After taking some time to calm his heart rate he proceeds deeper into the dungeon resuming his old man habit of walking with a smile on his face.

(Those kobolds made things a little interesting hehehe. I wonder what else this dungeons got in store for me.)

As Keres walked deeper the dungeon a group of adventurers popped into view around the place he just fought the kobolds. As they lowered what seemed to be a huge blanket that looked like exactly like the material the surrounding dungeon was made out of. It was a party of adventurers consisting of two young men and a young woman. They all had a shocked expressions on their faces while they looked at each other. The young men were twins as they looked exactly alike with their, dark blue hair, light skin, blue eyes. The only difference was that one of them had a scar on their cheek. The woman had long brown hair that was tied up into a pony tail, blue eyes, and light skin.

"Who the hell was that kid?" The young man with dark blue hair and a scar across his cheek said.

The young woman and the other man snapped out of their shock when they heard their companions question.

"I don't know. Did you see a familia crest on any of his equipment Don, June?" The twin answered and asked a question of his own.

Both Don and June shook their heads. After a couple of seconds of silence June perked her head up.

"Was it just me or did he walk like an old man?" Hearing this question the twins realized it as well.

Don scratched his noggin clearly in thought. "Maybe he was a high level old man who used some type of disguise magic to make him look young. What do you think Con?" Con went into deep thought. When June heard this question a look of disappointment flashed across her face.
