22.22% Reality Overtake / Factions

Factions

Each faction contains a king whom is a mighty being even stronger than a High Level Exceed.

Whilst Leaders are equivalents to Mid Level Exceeds.

Exceeds are individually mobile whilst Leaders and the King can only move within their own faction. Unless they wage an invasion in which they bring an army with them.

Thus Exceeds are valuable for missions and undercover activities. They also aid in combat while war is being waged.

Each faction has five states with a single Leader controlling their territory.

These leaders can telepathically communicate with their members within their territory.

The king has the ability to telepathically communicate throughout all of the faction territory.

Each state houses a certain number of exceeds.

The lowest recorded being usually 1, while the highest is 10 exceeds in one state.

The number of exceeds depends on the strength of the state and how much monster cores they can obtain.

The states often hold exceed tournaments in which the exceeds they summon prove their strength in the capital where the king resides, for a tournament.

Within the landa of each faction, there are monuments that stand as giant rectangular prisms.

These prisms are transparent and shine the color of the faction that posesses them. They also control who the territory around them belongs to.

This prism is known as an Elnos.

The Elnos is usually the centerpiece for a town or fort as it is so important.

Within the territory of their faction, the Elnos provides a 20% strength boost to all members.

The invading army will have to bring an invasion stone which cancels this effect. Each faction only has Two invasion stones a year which disappear at the end of the year and are resummoned at the capital where the king is.

The invasion stone is shaped like a ball and glows the color of the faction it belongs to.

It cancels the 20% effect from the enemy faction's Elnos within a 20 mile radius around it. Allowing the invading army to capture the elnos.

The Elnos is captured by the invading army surrounding it and keeping all enemy faction members away from it by 10 meters, and holding it for one hour.

This is no easy feat however, as there is usually a fort or town guarding it.

Any faction members within a 1 mile radius of a leader gain a 25% strength boost.

Whislt any member within 10 miles of a King has a 50% strength boost.

These effects do not stack however, causing only the King's buff to work. So Leaders and Kings will usually invade seperately.

Only on very crucial battles will they work in the same army to combine their strength.

Factions typically keep one crystal in reserve to take back lands, and one to invade. Though the biggest gambler, the Orange faction is known to invade twice.

Invasion crystals can only be used once a day, and are indestructable.

If stolen in a lost battle, they will not be able to use it unless attrieved or until the next year when it refreshes.

Exceeds are often sent on suicide missions to reaquire lost invasion crystals.

If a state Leader dies, he is replaced by the next most powerful faction member.

If a King dies, a new one is summoned after a year's time. As a king is too powerful to replace easily.

A faction who has lost it's king will be vulnerable to invasions. Thus kings almost never go to war unless it is necessary.
