Chapter 72: You don't love me anymore?
Christopher laughed as he patted Liam's shoulder. "You okay?"
Liam glared at him. "Do you think I'm okay? What was that? She just left with Kaylee after he made me confess without even giving me a single hug? She just left after she hugged you?"
Christopher smirked. "So, you want a hug?"
Liam choked. "It's not like that."
After Charlotte let go of her brother, she walked toward Kaylee and clung to her arm. They walked inside the house, leaving Liam dumbfounded.
Christopher smiled and hit him lightly on his back. "Let's go inside."

It was almost 12:30 in the morning when they entered the house.
Charlotte hugged her brother and Kaylee and kissed their cheeks, while she gave Liam a flying kiss before saying goodnight and entering her room.
Christopher and Kaylee both looked at Liam at the same time with a grin on their face.
Liam shrugged and was about to enter the room where Charlotte entered, but Christopher grabbed his shoulder. "Where do you think you're going?"
Liam looked at him and blinked. "I'm just going to check on her."
Christopher raised his eyebrow. "She entered just fine and said her goodnight. What else do you want?"
Liam opened his mouth but he can't say a word.
Kaylee pressed her lips together to stop herself from laughing. She patted Christopher's shoulder and said. "Stop it already, let's go to bed."
Christopher gave Liam an 'I'm watching you' look before turning his back to Liam as he placed his right hand into Kaylee's back.
Liam was left alone outside and didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "She was so clingy when I didn't speak up about my feelings, but now that I said it, she's trying to avoid physical contact with me. Plus that Topher told me not to hold myself, and yet..." Liam sighed as he walked like a zombie towards his room. "They really are siblings. I can't understand them sometimes."
There are four rooms upstairs and two rooms downstairs. Liam, Charlotte, and Christopher's rooms were upstairs, and theirs was one vacant room. Downstairs is Kaylee's grandma's bedroom and one guest room in case someone sleeps over.
Since only Liam and Charlotte knew this place, Christopher gave them their room so they could sleep over whenever they wanted.
When he entered his room, he lay on the bed and placed his right arm on his forehead. He sighed deeply as he closed his eyes.
Christopher and Kaylee's relationship is not yet fully accepted by Jarvis; yet his and Charlotte's relationship is another problem, a whole new and different story. He needs to protect what they have. He needs to make sure not to hurt the woman he loves, not now that he already said what he really feels. All this time, it was Charlotte who always made the first move, because she's open with her feelings. This time, he won't let that happen it should be him. It must be him.
Liam opened his eyes when his phone beeped twice. He gets his phone in his pocket to check who it is and to his surprise, it was Christopher and Charlotte. He first opened Christopher's message.
From: Topher
Don't think too much. She still loves you. Just sleep and be good. Remember, I'll be watching you.
He let out a gentle laugh when he read Christopher's message.
On the other hand, his mood changed when he read Charlotte's message.
From: Char
Good night, my baby boy. I'm sorry I don't know how to act. Sweet dreams, and I love you. I want your hug, with a heart emoticon at the end.
He subconsciously sat on his bed and removed his shirt. He suddenly felt hot, and he wanted to go to Charlotte's room, but he didn't want to lose Christopher's trust—not this time. Plus, he knew very well that he had a limit since Christopher entrusted his sister to him. And he himself doesn't know what he would do if he went there right now. In this situation, he can't trust himself.
After a minute his phone beeped once again.
