Chapter 8: elsa the elf
in my world the apocalypse also happened. but we have legendary heroes that can fight dragons one on one. plus dragons are our friend and ally.
when the goblins appeared from the portals no one panicked. goblins are extremely weak that even a 2 year old elf can kill easily. the only problem we saw was how to dispose of the corpse of goblins. we had to resort to burning them using fireballs and other fire skills. dragons have no problem with fire magic but elven mages are about one in every forest.
it took a day to kill all the goblins and a month to burn them all. we thought that was then end of it until more goblins appeared the following year. we were better prepared this time so the killing and disposal was faster.
the next wave appeared. billions of horned rabbits came this time. the horned rabbits are different from those that are in our world. these new horned rabbits cannot be eaten. so we still relied on flames to destroy them. this continued for a while. many kinds of monsters appeared and they met their end facing our armies.
all the coins we obtained were given to the elf lord or to the dragons. we dont need them. elves can survive on water and plants. thats why the coins kept on increasing. i thought we can survive all the waves without using any of the coins. but one day the elf lord used all of the coins to purchase something.
the reason is simple. billions of elves have suddenly appeared. billions vs tens of thousands? its the end of our race. the dragons may be able to help us. but we dont want to kill fellow elves.
orb of all elven knowledge cost almost a million mithril coins. it lets one find answers among all the elves that ever existed across the multiverse. the question is how to end an apocalypse.
three answers were given.
1. kill all that comes out from the portal.
2. allow half of your population to become slaves for ten thousand years. sign a contract of servitude with the merchants. the contract of servitude turned most elves into battle slaves and the rest into merchants.
3. allow at least five species to regain their intelligence and form an alliance.
thats how elsa became a battle slave and how her sister me-anne became a merchant. elsa also shared most of the knowledge gained from experiencing several apocalypse across many worlds.
elsa made a proposal. she will help me create an alliance with five other species. in exchange i will buy all elven slaves and build a city for them and let them live freely.
