i spent several months touring the country. this time instead of killing people, i made them an offer. ill be the leader of the city and ill provide food and protection. if they agreed then i sell everything except for people and follow elsa's city creation plan.
elsa asked for more coins. she bought lots of elven and dwarven slaves. the dwarves are responsible in creating weapons, houses, city wall and other facilities. the elves are responsible in teaching people how to awaken their skill and how to fight. several hundred golems were purchased to help train the people. as for kids and the elderly, elsa placed them in charge of food distribution. they do have the help of skeletons for labor. all in all, elsa made sure that people can eat and learn to fight.
every day one or more would awaken to a kickass skill and chalenge my slaves. theres this guy that can throw several dozen fireballs with a snap of a finger. the minute he felt his skill awakening, he attacked. that was a useless attack though. elves can feel the flow of mana and those that awaked their skill absorbs mana unconsciously. thats why elsa was aware of who awakened their skill and was able to evade the fireballs easily.
elsa made a huge discovery due to that attack. it seems that people who have just awakened their skill have different mana structure compared to everyone else, monsters included. my gluttonous jungle cats speed increased after eating one. that only works when eating one that awakened a skill within 5 minutes. otherwise its the same as feeding my g. jungle cats goblin carcass.
my monster pets have increased in number and i had to buy good elven fighters to create my own army. each member of my party commands 10-15 monster pets. their job is to protect me and help me manage these monster pets.
of the more than three hundred cities ive visited only fifty agreed to let me become their leader. ive followed elsa's example and gave a big budget per city. as for funds its easy since all i need to do is to move around, find something, store it then sell it. ive destroyed forests, mountains, houses, buildings, etc. literally anything that i can see can be sold. so i did. while my party moves around in a killing spree.
i noticed that everytime i earn a gold coin my range increased by one inch. it might not be much but with the way im earning coins it adds up to a wide area.
its gotten pretty boring due to all my money. right now im wearing artifacts that costs hundreds of thousands of gold coins. no one can hurt me. and it will take many years before stronger monsters appear.
mana density is still pretty thin right now. magical herbs would appear in about 5 years or so. also magic ores can only be mined after mana density reached a certain level. thats why right now anything of value can only be obtained from the merchants.
once a month i visit a merchant to see if my slaves have any message for me. also i test the limits of my storage space by buying more food and other resources. my enchanted bows have increased to ten thousand. now, even if a million goblins try to attack me, i can kill them all before they reach me.
"master" an angelic voice drifted to my ears while i was thinking of all the goblin armies that i will kill.
"elsa what are you doing here?" i asked while turning to look at the beautiful elf. ive given her the job of overall manager of all my cities. thats why she can move freely.
"master, 5 goblin kings have made an alliance and destroyed several human cities."
"how did that happen? didnt we have a group of assassins with artifacts move from one country to another to hunt all goblin leaders? that way no goblin group will be powerful enough to destroy a city."
when my gold coins reached millions i bought strong assassins and wizard slaves and equipped them with powerful artifacts. their job is to kill the leaders goblin settlements. as well as destroy any monster group that poses a threat against any city. they have to leave some goblins alive so that people have some goblins to kill and earn coins.
"master, several criminal groups have sent humans to goblins in exchange for magic books on necromancy. tens thousand humans were more than enough to summon several goblin kings. master, the enchanted bow cannot harm a goblin king."
i observed elsa for a moment. enchanted bows may be my favorite weapons but its only a stage two weapon. stage two meaning bronze coins are needed to purchase it. i have a stage 5 weapon (needs mithril to purchase). i dont have anything to fear right now. i think with elsa's current behavior that theres something she isnt telling me.
"the presence of goblin kings have stopped the summoning of goblins. all restrictions on goblins will be lifted. they can now reproduce, use 100% of their strength and regeneration instead of just 10% and lastly the goblin kings can kill merchants. thats why if a city is being attacked then the merchant would teleport elsewhere and return only when the goblins that attacked are all dead."
"elsa send word to all the assassins. do not kill the goblin kings. kill all the goblin necromancers. then send the g. jungle cats to encircle the goblin kings. i want to capture the goblin kings. after the goblin kings are captured start operation clean-up." i glared at elsa then walked away.
operation clean-up means the complete extermination of the goblins. every slave and golems that i bought and all the awakened will hunt and kill all goblins all around the world. this will affect the number of coins each city can obtain. no goblins to kill means no source of coins.
thats still better than letting the goblins live. the presence of kings will allow goblins to evolve. which should only appear after the third wave. evolved goblins drop bronze coins but they are harder to kill. right now there are few awakened humans that can fight evolved goblins one on one. but thats not enough. although i can easily deal with millions of evolved goblins. any evolved goblin can easily destroy a city.
for the remaining time until the next wave i used it to procure more coins. then i have stationed a few slaves in each city and through them gave free food for everyone.
