Alchemist
A branch of the arcane concerned with transmutation and equivalent exchange via magical formations. They are more rational than mages but less ruthless than magii, following a nearly universal doctrine forbidding direct experimentation on human life (although that upon human bodies remains fair game, if frowned upon). They are naturally inclined to potioneering and blacksmithing, but some can develop formidable combat capabilities through the preparation of magic formations or the ability to mentally form them, capable of forming a deadly weapon out of literally anything.
Chimera
An artificial lifeform without definite form; although similar to a golem, they're technically a form of demon, with power directly proportional to the strength of their chimeric cells and DNA. Those with increasingly pure blood are capable of absorbing the biomass, powers, and among the elite, even knowledge, giving them an unprecedented rate of growth. They are able to naturally integrate with magical artifacts and Cores, giving them incredible power, sometimes far exceeding their rank albeit at a toll upon their body. Chimeric blood may be integrated into other species, although an individual's degree of compatibility is seemingly random.

Demihuman
The offspring of humans and demons, they resemble the mixed features of their parents. Most have lost their ability to transform, but still inherit the various physical or magical abilities of their distant kin (strength, abilities, instincts, etc.). The thickness of their blood is variable, but they can still be differentiated from pure humans by means of a magic tool or spell. Discriminated heavily against by certain cultures.
Demon
The "true adult form" of monsters, Demons have gained sufficient magical energy to gain an alternate humanoid form and intelligence, some even passing for pureblood humans. Regardless of if they're transformed or not, they retain the abilities of their true form and far exceed humans. Although they can directly reproduce and create new demons, their rate of doing so is orders of magnitude slower than monsters, paling in comparison even to humans.

Formations; (ie, Scroll): Inscription (small), Formation (medium), Array (large)
A pattern drawn with a mana-conductive substance, allowing even those without magical talent to channel mana and activate the function within. They can be single or multiple-use, although the latter are far more rare and expensive. Predominantly created by alchemists, although the generic term for its creator is a "Formation Master".

Mage (Mages)
The title belonging to those who pursue the way of magic, holding a far more mystical view of magic, medicine, and alchemy. This causes them to hold a reverence for life (at least, comparable to Magii of similar power), a tradition preached master-to-disciple under the virtue of "power begets responsibility". Nonetheless, many mages unintentionally look down upon those weaker than them, due to the inherent nature of spells being large-scale, and thus any combat mage taking the lives of many normal soldiers.
Magic Warrior
A generic term for Magic Swordsmen, Magic Archers, Berserkers, etc. Although their powers are incapable of the same AoE mass-scale effect of mages/magii, they are nonetheless their bane, as they may focus their power on a single target and defend far more efficiently. Although they are more common and less respected than the other two professions, they are nonetheless essential to any army encountering magical beings.
Magus (Magii)
A person who follows the doctrines of both magic and scholarly pursuit. Although their power is generally lesser than a Mage of the some rank, their mention evokes far more fear than their counterparts, since they often take the role of researchers who are ruthless and pragmatic to a fault in their pursuit for knowledge. The power that far exceeds that of scholars leads most to hold disdain for non-magical beings, leading some to perform unethical experiments and treat Human life little different from that of animals.
Monster
Animals that have gained magical energy but still lack intelligence. There's no upper or lower limit to their power, as different species require different amounts of magical energy for evolution into a demon, with some creatures exceeding the might of entire armies. They mature and reproduce incredibly quickly, easily outclassing humans of the same rank. Stronger monsters congeal a core, allowing them to manipulate the magical energy intrinsic to their species.

Potioneer
A scholar responsible for designing and concocting medicine and poison alike. Most have some experience in alchemy, but even mortals can succeed in the field (and often do, especially in isolated villages). Since magical ability is of little consequence, a great number of educated mortals seek this lucrative career. Those who practice have a somewhat fearful reputation among slaves and beggars, who are often subjected to testing their creations.
Priest(ess)
A person who commands magical or divine power outside their own control, ie, through prayer. Although the power requires divine favor and sometimes sacrifice/service, they can exhibit power exceeding even Mages or Magic Warriors. Almost unilaterally the servants of some god or demigod, although some belong to larger magical organizations that "share" the powers of their elite (or sometimes, imprisoned and siphoned enemy elite). Those serving under a (demi)god are considered their property, making assaults against priests/priestesses incredibly dangerous.

Warlock
A Mage or Magus that focuses magical power with the aid of their demon bloodline, either innate or magically sealed (in the case of a pureblood human). Although this lends them greater power at a comparable rank (even able to equally contend with magical warriors), they often fall prey to their instincts, allowing them to be tricked or outsmarted when their rationality is pushed aside.
