Chapter 7: CHAPTER SIX
-A FEW DAYS LATER
"Ugh finally some rest." I say walking through the corridor toward my room.
"Hey wait up!" Rune yells running to catch up to me.
I turn around, "Hey Rune what do you need?"
"Umm…" he says nervously, "can you meet me tonight. At the front door at 10 o'clock"
"Okay sure." I say confused.
He runs to his bedroom door and opens it and goes in. I open my door to get some well deserved sleep. I walk over to the bed in my room and flop on it and pass out.
HOURS LATER
I finally wake up as a disaster and take a shower and get in to new cloths. A white dress with a little blue and some goggles and a belt. I walk out of my room and headed down to the dining room.
When I arrived at the dining room Talon and Miku were nowhere to be found I saw Niko and Sora were baking a cake.
"Hey Sora. thanks for watching Niko."
"No problem" Sora says.
"Hey Sora can I hang out with you tomorrow?" Niko asks Sora happily
"Hey, Unime." Rune says from nowhere. I swore I jumped 3 feet in the air.
"Holy shit Rune you scared me." I say to him
"Whats is for dinner?" Rune asks as he takes a cookie from a tray.
"CAKE." says Niko sarcastically.
"Ok when is dinner." he asks again.
"Cake." Niko says in a serious tone.
Sora starts laughing and so do I.
I calm myself down, "Sora when will we have dinner?"
"Umm… Niko knows." Sora says
"CAKE!!!" Niko says dancing around the kitchen.
"Ok I'm done." Rune says leaving the room.
"Hey wait up." I run after him and grab his hand.
"Dinner is at 5." I say with a smile.
"Ok thanks see you in an hour." he says.
AN HOUR LATER
We all ate dinner and the did dishes and Talon and MIku were still missing. I headed back to my room to read for awhile and take another shower and complementing on what Rune said earlier all well. I learned that everyone has to be in bed by 7 o'clock. But i'm going to break the rules, why? No idea all well again… because I have to meet Rune at 10. It's only 8 o'clock shit time is so slow is it? Or I think its slow. Finally I decide grab a book and read it the title is The Unknowns of the World it read:
Unknowns are part of the vampire world, and are an rare to the Outer and Inner Walls, they are strange and a few we have found are shifters or some that can speak to animals. No one person knows how they came to existence. The Scientist who have created the experiment 17 years ago have a few theories to how Unknowns came to be one is that it is a side effect of the experiment the other is-
I stop reading because the page is gone, torn out and put the book back on the shelf. I decide to go down early it's now 9:50. I take off my boots to walk quietly and head down the hall. A few boards creek under my feet, shit, I try to avoid some of the squeaky boards. I arrive at the stairwell and I decided it's safer to slide down the railing instead of walking down the creaky boards. I land on the floor a minute later with a soft thud.
"Hey." someone whispers loudly in the dark.
I look around to find the person who said that, then I finally spot someone on a windowsill.
"Rune?" I whisper back.
"Yep." Rune says quietly, and hopes silently to the ground near me."I thought you wouldn't come." he smiles and whispers to me.
"I keep my promises, do I not." I say back.
"Yep. Ready to go?" he says, opening the door he bows and puts an arm out.
"Yep." I said with a laugh.
With Rune leading the way through the forest.
"Rune where are we going?" I ask him.
"A secret place in the woods where I used to play when I was younger." he smiles and blushes.
"Thanks I thought you were kidnapping me." I say with a laugh.
"Haha very funny. Plus I would never kidnap you." Rune says.
We walked for a few more minutes.
"Ok, now close your eyes." he says.
I close my eyes and he grabs my hand, and leads me somewhere. A minute passes.
"Ok now open." he tells me not letting go of my hand .
"Wow! Rune its…" I was breath taken "its beautiful."
Rolling hillsides a small creek with crystal clear water and a cherry blossom tree with branches swaying in the wind, and a view of the wall showing how far we are away from the citys. As well as the stars and moon on a clear night.
"I new that you would like it." he says looking at me with a blushing smile.
He leads me over to the blooming cherry blossom tree. He set up a blanket and some midnight snack food. We sat down on the blanket.
"Rune why did you bring me here?"
"Umm because I promised to tell you something a few days ago. Remember?"
"Oh ya. I forgot. Sorry." I said embarrassed.
"Well… I feel…" he says embarrassed "like I can't live without you."
I was touched by his words, "I… I…" he silenced my by putting his finger to my lips
"I know… you don't feel the same way." he said looking sad.
I move his hand away from my mouth "No! I do it's just I couldn't merge up the courage to say it."
I grab his hand "I feel the exact same way Rune.I mean it, since 8 years ago." I say blushing, "ever since I met you and Talon and took me in." a slight breeze comes through and it sends a chill down my spine.
"Here." Rune says giving me his jacket and putting it on my shoulders.
"I never knew it until 6 years ago in the library."
"Rune, I love you." I said surprised at myself. He seems just as surprised.
"Im… im speacheess Unime…" Rune says "i love you too."
As the night went on I moved to his side and rested my head on his shoulder and we both held each other's hands. And watch the moon rise to its peak in the sky.
"Well, we better be heading back." he says
"Ya, we should." I say back.
We both stand up and look at each other. I feel a wave of butterflies in my stomach. Rune leans over and kisses me. His hands slid across my back and his jacket falls off my shoulders. My face heated up and I knew I was blushing badly.possibly a bright shade of what happened or a red. He lets go of me and steps back.
"Rune..." I was speechless.
"Its okay, I understand." he said blushing and disappointed with his choices.
"Rune…" I said grabbing his hands and smiled, and looked into his eyes, "don't be disappointed."
Then I wrapped my arms around him. He did the same and he laid his head on my shoulder.
He said in a whisper, "I love you. Unime."
I whispered quietly, "I love you too. Rune."
"Rune?..." I say
"Yes , Unime." he replies in a wispier.
"I don't want you to leave my side. Kay, Rune." I say laying my head on his shoulder.
"Okay Unime. I promise." he says and moves his hands on to my back, "by the way we should get back."
"Ya we should. I'm going to walk back by myself. Kay Rune." I say we stopped embracing each other.
"Ya." he said, "I'll pick up this." he said pointing to the midnight picnic stuff.
"Kay see ya Rune." I walk over and kissed him on the cheek still in daze of what happened.
"Kay, see you tomorrow." he said.
