Chapter 6: Departure
It has been 5 years since the battle Lin had with the black furred tiger and since then Lin has improved by leaps and bounds. For example Lin is now a third rank beast and has survived many a battles and have devoured the cores of his fallen enemies to evolve.
' Well I think its time i finally leave this forest, since i've became rank 3 most if not all of the beasts here are to weak and their cores don't really benefit me at all' Lin though and with that Lin raced into the distance intending to find stronger beasts to battle against and improving himself.
It was only 4 hours into his journey when Lin was suddenly attacked by a group of adventurers composed of two magi and 6 warriors.
" didn't think we'd find a beast here" said one of the warriors.
" doesn't matter just kill it we gotta get to Teris by sundown or did you forget that to Damo!" said one of the magi.
"alright jeez your always in a hurry Esorin" said the warrior currently identified as Damo
"From the energy I can sense from it this beast should be in the 3rd rank so don't get to carefree" said the other magus
Lin was able to understand what they were saying and decided to show them no mercy. If this was in the past then he definitely would have hesitated in his decision to kill them however to survive in the forest he had to become ruthless or else he would have died years ago.
'Lets see 2 magi and 6 warriors, the warriors will most likely protect the magi and buy time for them to cast spells at me that probably would've worked if i was a normal rank 3 magical beast but unfortunately for them i'm a rank 3 DIVINE beast' Lin though
Lin bellowed and then proceeded to charge at the warriors to make them think that he was a normal 3rd rank beast without much intelligence. But when he was about 5 meters from the warriors he covered his body in wind essence and leaped.
" WHAT THE HELL its aiming for the mages!?!" one of the warriors yelled
However before they could react Lin who was covered in wind essence accelerated to extreme speeds and proceeded to stomp on the chests of the mages. Mages who had weak bodies compared to warriors naturally couldn't resist Lin's stomps and their chests instantly caved in with their organs turned into mush.
" HOLY SH*T theres no way thats a 3rd rank beast" one of the warriors yelled in fear
With that the remaining warriors instantly fell into panic and attempted to flee by splitting up and running in different directions. However Lin had learned much after his mistakes of not finishing things up from the black furred tiger as well as other beasts and proceeded to chase down and kill each and everyone of the warriors.
'Lets see i'm pretty sure warriors and magi don't have cores like magical beasts, so their bodies are useless to me and the bodies will either be eaten by a scavenger or decay eventually so theres nothing to worry about, but man they were weak but then again i AM a divine beast' Lin though smugly
With that Lin continued down his journey to find a new place to call home and stronger beasts to fight.

iiCreation Im still not sure if i want to make this story set in a different plane or in the Yulan plane.
