Chapter 5- an Unwanted surprise
Same days, same night, same routine , same people , same nightmare, same faces, same thoughts, same fights, same tears, same smiles.... and same loneliness... same feeling everyday.
That feeling of emptiness , the feeling of nothing is ever going to change. This particular feeling have accompanied me since day one , since I could ever remember...it's depressing I know but I can't do anything about it , the more I try the less is working.
I lay there on my bed staring at the ceiling with an empty expression ... my only expression. I lay there thinking about the what if's .
What if I was born in another century with another Identity with another name in a family that I can remember their names but it's not that easy, nothing is easy.
I can't remember anything or anyone for that matter... except those eyes of a face I am sure a masculine one. Those eyes held peculiar emotions that I can't describe , emotions that I never or will ever feel of. I close my eyes and try to remember my yesterday's dream.
i gaze into those eyes , blue icy eyes but they held so much warmth. I like this ....
but why can I not remember the rest of his face?
Am I crazy , I hope not?
It's not like your sanity does matter anymore in this world? My subconscious whispered to me at the back of my head.
"AY.. girl wake up we have a new job for ya ! " my thoughts were cut by a loud annoying voice of my guardian... sometimes I wish I was anything but a human . I swear if it's not important I am going to bash her head into the hard wall till she understands the meaning of privacy.
"What the hell is soo important now, I have finished everything for my list now. What would you like me to do now? Paint your nails ? "
"I am serious "
" yeah me to , did you guys considered to run me as president for this disaster of a place ?"
As always she looks at me unimpressed but considering that I the only "rouge" one here it's the least expected for me.
"Nola ,the Asian chick got the flu and we are running out of hands to serve the guests in the party hall . Considering that your the only one who finished her work for today so early you will be filling her place for today. "
"Dorthy hunny , are you okay ? "
"Yeah why? "
" your asking the girl who has been causing trouble for the past year to face the people who she thinks as killers and monsters to serve them drinks and to keep quite. Baby I thought you were smarter than that , you know I would break one of those glasses on their heads and take the shatter glass to stab any of them in the heart... so now you know my answer to this bullshit , you get me there and I will make sure to teach them how to party in my own way." As I finished I have already turned my back facing her. But she says something that I can never expect for her.
"Do you want to get out of here ? "
"What the h-"
"I will repeat my question again, do you want to get out of here?"
I turn my back to face her again and for the first time in my life I thought about her question
"Depends on how Dorothy, you know me I never obey the rules"
" well, let me rephrase that..... would you like up escape from here ,I mean form what I can remember you were a fast runner back then. You did give the guards a good run every time you tried to escape when your were young.
I know it's unexpected form me but I am offering you a deal. "
"What is in it for you"
"You out of here, I can move on with my work to the next girl and get paid enough"
" and for a moment I thought you were being genuine, silly me. But, you do realize that if I get caught the punishment will be my death ?"
" I will make sure you get out of here safely ...but you have to trust me ?"
For the first time in my life I find something funny and with that I give my first loud constant laugh.
Dorothy eyes me with a cautious expression as of like I am Turing crazy. But, I can't blame her.
"Trust, one word with five letters and millions of meaning " I laugh again then continue with
"You know , it's really ironic that you , the one who made sure that my life would be miserable for 21 years is now asking me for trust. But, you know ....
Smart move, that you and I both know that I will some day get out of here and make everyone pay so you chose to make a deal and be the reason for my freedom thinking that I will let all slide and for get about the emotional and physical pain that you caused me " I finished while clapping my hands
"Chapue for you Dorothy really that is amazing "
Still with cautious expression Dorothy replied with
" DO YOU THINk THAT NO WOMAN HAVE TRIED THIS ??? I HAVE BEEN THERE BEFORE YOU WERE EVEN BORN!!" Her loud voice echoed through the stone walls of my room.
"Explain now " I ordered with a dark expression of my face.
