Chapter 2: Chapter 1
Bai Huiying woke up. Tears continously flowed down her cheeks as she took in deep breaths. Her hand covered her face, muffling her sobs that was laced with fear, shock and other emotions that was surging inside, overwhelming her entire being.
She remembered how her body and limbs were crushed by the huge truck that pinned her to the walls. Her cracking bones and desperate screams filled her with deep fear and regret; for not even bothering to move; to move those wretched feet that she abhored and blamed.
Dying was better than living, that was she thought initially but as the fear pain and regret filled her entire world that moment, for once she felt hate and resentment and it was directed to herself
"I want to live. I want to live. I want to live"
Bai Huiying chanted hysterically as he grabbed her hair with her trembling hands
She was immersed in crying that she paid not a sliver of attention to the world outside her tears.
An hour went by and her tears seemed to have all been dried up as only her sobs came out of her trembling body and for once she looked around the space she woke up in.
She was lying in a bed in a small apartment that was similar to hers after she was stripped off of everything she had. Everything was unfamiliar but she didnt to think about how she gotwoke up in an unfamiliar room and how she didnt seem to carry any injuries as she persisted to go towards the door that was just the opposite of the bed she was lying on.
Bai Huiying's walked steadily to the door not even noticing how heavy her steps were. Only one thought filled her head at the moment; She wanted to get out, to go to the hospital and not die... She doesnt want to de... She doesnt want to feel painful anymore.
As she was about to reach for the knob, she felt a sudden pain on her abdomen and wetness in between her legs. Bai Huiying stopped and stared at her bulging stomach that she herself just noticed. Blood dripped from her lower part and she was struck by a sudden premonition. She felt her consciousness clear up and her rationality returning. She panickly skimmed through the aprtment trying to find a phone.Her eyes darted around desperately eying every corner of the small aprtment. As she spotted an old nokia phonee sitting on top of a table she emmidiately held it and dialed the hospital.
"H-hello please send an ambulance. I-I think Im having a misscarriage P-please hurry up!
"Please stand by maam. The ambulance will be there as soon as possible. "
"Please Come Soon"
Bai Huiying waited for 12 minutes before the ambulance reached the aprtment. She was sent to the emergency room.
"Miss... You really are very lucky any second later and we wouldve lost the little boy. " A middle age man wearing a labcoat entered the room where she laid.
"Little boy? " Bai Huiying voice contained warmth and gentleness she herself was even suprised to hear.
"Yes. Where is the father? This time was really dangerous. You should restrain was activities that are straining and stressful. Child Birth is something that shouldnt be taken lightly" The Middle age man said with a disapproving tone.
"The Father.... I dont know" How will she know who the father is? How can she even know who she currently is?
The middle man sighed as he heard Bai Huiying " You should be moe responsible considering how you will be a mother soon"he looked into his wrist watch and continued "I still have other patients to attend to so you should rest for today. "
The man left leaving Bai Huiying alone. Baihuiying stroked her stomach, a gentle smile creeping to her face
"I guess were both alone in this world. I might not be your mother anymore.... But I swear, Ill treat you as my little prince" Her eyes reddened as tears once again found their way to her eyes but unlike before, not a trace of sadness can be heard from her quite cry.

Central Imperial... The most abundant part of A City with the most seen economic progress. Not a single mediocre structure is seen as it is filled to the brim with monumental skyscrapers. Towering among these huge building is the main head quarters of the highest ranking company in Asia, Aspen.
Below its feet that was devoured by its vast shadow are employees bustling about to reach their offices, and various other kinds of stalls where entering or exiting employees snack from.
On its top most floor is the place where the employees like to call "The Devils Lair"
Ambigous sounds resonated from the "Devil's Lair" making the passing males blush while the passing females grit their teeth in envy.
Assistant Li knocked on its doors without a change in expression, stopping whatever activity was ongoing inside.
"Tch come in" The man pushed A-side the half naked woman who excused herself as the assisntant strolled inside the room
"Mr. Lu Miss Bai was sent to the hospital this morning"
The man sneered and at his words as he buttoned up his shirt
"How does that slut concern me"
Assisntant Li froze not expecting his boss to adress her like that
"T-this... But miss Bai is bearing your-"
"It seems that Ive indulged my employees for too long.. " Lu Mengyao flashed a sinister smile nailing the assistant to the ground.
"My Apologies Sir" Assistant Li said as cold sweat started trickling down his bavk. His palms turned white and sweaty from nervousness but his face was still impassive as usual.
"Go back and you dont need to report this trivial things to me. I dont need to know what that slut and bastard is doing. "
"Yes sir"
