Chapter 16: Chapter 16 Should I? Or Shouldn't I?
Nice's POV
"HOY NICE!!" Hanz shouted on my ear.
"ano ba Hanz hindi ako bingi!"
"hindi ka nga bingi tulala lang" James said
"ano ba kasi ang problema mo Nice, may lagnat ka pa rin ba?" Vincent said
Nandito sila ngayon sa bahay namin para daw dalawin ako, nauna na sila Kasey na umuwi sa kanila dahil daw kailangan pa nila na gawin ang mga assignments namin.
"may problema ka ba Nice?, come on tell us" Kris said
"guys, gusto ko si Kasey, I like her" pagtatapat ko
"sus, yun lang pala.... HUH? ANO!!!!, MAY GUSTO KA KAY KASEY!!!" they all said.
"sshh, pwede ba hinaan nyo ang boses nyo,... Oo gusto ko sya, bakit may problema ba dun, ha?!"
"hmm.. Wala naman, saka hindi din imposible na magsustuhan mo sya, isa pa matalino, maganda at higit sa lahat mabait si Kasey" James said
"tsk. Buti naman na-realize mo na, akala ko kasi kailangan ko pang gumawa ng paraan para malaman mo ang nararamdaman mo" Vincent said
"huh?, anong ibig mong sabihin?, na-realize?, a-akala ko ba gusto mo rin si Kasey?" I said
"Vincent?, gusto mo rin si Kasey?, paano na lang ang girlfriend-fiancee mo na nasa America?" Hanz ask
"ano ba kayo wala akong gusto kay Kasey, I only told that to Nice hoping that he will found it himself that she treasure and starting to like Kasey that time, also because it was the first time I saw Nice caring for a girl, at saka wala akong balak na ipagpalit ang minamahal kong girlfriend" he said
"ah~ yun naman pala, so ano na Nice?, liligawan mo na ba sya.?" Claude ask.
"hindi ko alam"
"Anong hindi mo alam?" Kris said
"sa hindi ko alam eh!"
"why don't you try it out, I think there is a chance that she feels the same way, after all it looks like na she's so close and comfortable with you, so it's better to tell her your feelings before someone does." James said
"why don't you confess to her sa Christmas party natin three weeks from now, don't worry kami na ang bahala sa lahat, all you need to do is to prepare a gift for her and tell her your feelings" Vincent said
"ewan ko" I said, hindi pa kasi ako handa na magtapat sa kanya.
"ano ka ba naman para ka namang babae nyan eh!" Kris said
"ah basta sa Christmas party, aamin ka na sa kanya, TAPOS!"
"pag isipan mo ang mga sinabi namin, sige na uwi na kami, kaya magpahinga ka na dahil may pasok tayo bukas" Vincent said
And then umuwi na sila.
Hanggang ngayon pinag iisipan ko pa rin ang mga sinabi nila and I decided na mas mabuti nga siguro kung aamin ako sa kanya, and ask her if is it okay to court her.
But, I'm afraid na baka hanggang ngayon hindi pa rin naghihilom ang sugat sa puso nya at baka hindi pa sya handa na magmahal muli, ayoko naman na maapektuhan ang pagkakaibigan namin.
"good morning Nice" Kasey said as she saw me on the hallway.
I was about to greet her back when I noticed that she look so pale and her face was a bit reddish, may lagnat ba sya?.
"wait lang Kasey!" I said as I grab her hands.
"bakit?"
"tama nga ako, nilalagnat ka, halika" I said after I touched her forehead to check her.
"wait lang Nice, malapit ng mag umpisa ang first class, saan ba tayo pupunta?"
"dito" I said as we stop in front of the nurse office
"pero Nice, okay naman ako"
"no you're not, kaya halika ka na, mas mabuti na magpahinga ka na muna dito tapos bumalik ka na lang sa classroom sa next subject, don't worry I'll tell our teacher about it"
"but--"
"I'm sorry, mukang dahil sa akin kaya ka nagka sakit, magdamag mo kasi akong binantayan nung isang gabi"
"hindi, hindi mo kasalanan, I told you okay lang ako, kaya tara na balik na tayo sa room"
"mahiga ka na lang dyan, okay!"
Then I left her there after I told the school nurse about her, and then they gave her medicine to cool down her fever.
After the first period I go back to the clinic to check if she's alright, and when I get there she was sleeping and according to the nurse she was alright now, and she can go back to class once she woke up.It ease my worries about her.
The class continue, and on the third period she came back and she seems better than she is a while ago.
"Thanks" she said as she sat down beside me.
"it's nothing, here" I said as I gave her my notebook
"kopyahin mo yung mga bagong lessons kanina, para di ka mapag iwanan sa lessons bukas" I said,
Because she just look at my hands and at the notebook.
"thanks, don't worry ibabalik ko din to sayo mamaya bago mag uwian"
"Okay"
During our lunch we decided that we will ate at our classroom, thus, we boys are asked to buy our lunches. And when we came back to our classroom, I saw Kasey copying my notes, she's concentrating on it that's why Denise and Cherry didn't interrupt her.
"Kasey kumain na muna tayo, pwede naman na mamaya mo na yan kopyahin pagkatapos natin, at saka okay lang naman kahit na bukas mo na ibalik ang notebook ko." I said
"h-huh?, pero hindi ka makakapag review kapag di ko binalik to sayo, kaya tatapusin ko na muna to, mauna na kayong kumain" she said while continuing to copy.
"ay naku!, mamaya na yan, kumain ka na muna, baka nakakalimutan mo na kanina lang ay may lagnat ka, kaya kumain na muna tayo" I said as I get her pen from her.
"Nice naman!!!" she shouted.
"Kasey, tama si Nice kumain ka na muna, sige na, halika ka na"Denise said
"o-okay"
Then we ate our lunch, Hanz and Kris are too noisy as usual while Kasey was just silently eating beside me.
"sorry" she whispered
"huh?" ako ba kausap nya?
"sabi ko sorry, kasi nasigawan kita" so ako nga
"wala yun, okay lang yun, sige na kumain ka na para matapos mo na yung pag kopya"
Days pass by quickly, and Christmas was so near that's why everyone was excited about the Christmas Party next week, not just because Christmas is coming but because Christmas break is coming too.
While I am, here thinking if I really should confess to her on that day, or I should keep it and just continue loving her from here.
Tsk. What am I thinking, this is not me!
"ano Nice, may naisip ka na ba na pang regalo para sa exchange gift natin, at saka ready ka na ba na magtapat ng feelings mo para kay Kasey?" James asked.
"wala pa, sa isang araw na lang siguro ako bibili tutal sa isang linggo pa naman yun."
"sa isang linggo pa naman yun~.. Nice naman! Seryoso ka ba kay Kasey?" he said
"o-oo naman, p-pero kasi di ko alam kung ano ba ang dapat gawin"
"ay naku naman, mabuti pa sumama ka na lang samin ni Vincent bibili kasi kami ngayon ng pang regalo namin, okay"
"okay" mahina kong sagot.
And here I am, forced to come along with them to buy gifts, I don't really pay attention in choosing gifts for parties like this, lagi ko namang binibili pag ganito ay mga bagay na magagamit either sa school or whatsoever, but pagdating sa ipangre-regalo para kay Kasey, I was totally blank I don't know what to choose. I know she would be happy in anything but still I want to gave her something special.
Fast forward tayo.
Days pass by quickly, and today was the day of our Christmas Party, and the day that my friends want me to confess my feelings for her.
"Nice, gusto mo daw akong maka-usap?"
"o-oo, kasi Kasey..."
"hmm?"
Ano ba Nice!, be a man, it's now or never!. Bahala na kung ano man ang maging sagot ni Kasey at kung ano man ang kahantungan ng gagawin mo.
"Kasi Kasey.... Gusto kita!, I mean mahal kita" I said
"huh?"
"mahal kita Kasey" I said again
