Chapter 5: Chapter 5: He is Nice though...
NICE'S POV
Tsk. She's really clumsy. Ang tigas pa ng ulo nya.
She didn't even think of herself. She's already bleeding yet she still want to go.
"Hey, do you hear me, I said let me go, I'm fine anyway so there's no need to go there, besides, they are waiting for me,"
"But I said we will go to the clinic to clean your wound, so stop being stubborn and come with me quietly" I said to her as I look at her.
And it was good because she shut her mouth after that and quietly come with me to the clinic.
"Mr. Tolentino what's the matter?, you don't seem to be injured so why are you here?" the school nurse said as he saw me.
"I'm not the one who's injured.. She is"
I said as I drag Kasey to come in front from my back, bigla na lang kasi syang nagtago sa likuran ko nung nakita nya na lalaki ang nurse sa clinic.
"your bleeding, halika kailangan nating malinis yan agad, halika maupo ka na muna, Gemini!, can you bring here the first aid kit?" he shouted as he started examining Kasey's wound.
"Okay.. Here, Oh?! What a beautiful lady we had here" the nurse named Gemini said nang makita nya kami.
"Gemini?, what an odd name?" I asked Adrian (Adrian was the name of the nurse)
"yeah, her name was very unique, she's new here since nalipat na ng ospital ang nurse na kasama ko dito noon. Lilinisan ko na ang sugat mo ha medyo mahapdi to miss" he explained habang nilalagyan nya ng alcohol yung bulak na hawak nya
"Don't touch me!!" Kasey shouted as she push away Adrian's hand bago pa man nito mailapat ang kamay sa tuhod nya.
"huh?" the three of us reacted, confused and shock by Kasey's sudden remarks.
"I.. I mean, I can clean it myself" she said without looking at us.
"Adrian, maybe it's better if I'm the one who will manage to cleanse her wounds, she seem to be afraid of guys" Gemini said as she took over and clean Kasey's wound..
Gemini was right she really seem to be afraid of guys, she acted the same way she used to be to the boys at our class.
And then there she go, she manage it herself, Kasey let her clean her wounds.
Is she really afraid of guys? But why?.
Now that I think of it, it makes sense, because at school and at our classroom, she barely talk to boys unless it is needed like in some activities, and the way she acted before was the same when a boy touch her besides she was always with Cherry and Diane and whenever we're together she was always quiet, she barely talk to us, unless those two ask her.
But I touch her a while ago and she didn't react at all.
Ano ba! Ano bang meron sakin ngayon, why I am worrying about this none sense stuff.
"Okay, in a few days gagaling na rin yang sugat mo, and don't worry hindi naman yan magiging peklat" Gemini said as she finished bandaging her wounds
"Thank you" nahihiyang sabi ni Kasey.
"Ok tara na, ihahatid na kita sa inyo" alok ko
"h-huh?, pero bakit?"
"malamang quarter to six na kaya at hindi mabuti na hayaan lang kitang umuwi ng mag isa, isa pa babae ka at mag isa lang, delikado ang umuwi kapag gabi na" dahilan ko.
Di ko na namalayan at yun na ang mga katagang lumabas sa bibig ko.
"o-ok lang ako, tatawag na lang ako sa bahay para magpasundo" pag tanggi nya.
Then she get her phone from her pocket to dial the number at their house when all of a sudden she return it back to her pocket.
"oh, bakit mo binalik yung phone mo akala ko ba tatawag ka sa inyo?"
"lowbat na yung phone ko"
"tsk. Tara na nga" hinila ko na sya sa kamay nya and then we headed to the school gate.
"antayin mo ako dito" I said, then I left before she can utter a word.
I go to a store near our school gate, to get my motorbike, I have student license anyway, besides I'm already 18 I'm at the legal age, aside from that this was my father's birthday gift to me when I turned 18.
"here,wear this" I said as I throw to her my helmet.
"A-ano to?"
"helmet malamang!, isuot mo na yan at sumakay ka na dito"
"o-ok" then she hesitantly ride on my motorbike.
"Ok, kumapit ka ng mahigpit" then I start the engine
"Wait!, saan ako kakapit?" ano ba naman to.
"Here, dito ka kumapit" I said as I grab her arms and wrap it in my waist.
Hindi ko alam kung bakit naisipan kong ihatid sya gamit ang pwede ko namang itawag at ipara sya ng taxi.
Huh?, what's this?. Why I became nervous all of a sudden. Why does my heart beats this fast all of a sudden.
"by the way, can you please tell me your address?" basag ko sa katahimikan nya.
After she tell me her address I drove her to her house. She also lives in a exclusive village like us and her house was bigger than ours, it was so huge, it was a mansion.
"thank you sa paghatid sa akin" she said habang nababa sya sa motor ko. Inalalayan ko na sya dahil obvious na hindi sya marunong umangkas sa motor.
Teka lang, yung sasakyan na naka-park sa tapat ng bahay nila, kay papa to ah, pero bakit?
"wala yun" i replied habang nakatingin pa rin sa itim na kotse.
"Why don't you come inside and have a dinner. I-it w-was just my way of saying thanks to you and repaying you for driving me home" mahina nyang sabi
"hindi na kailangan" nautal sya, pero bakit?
"Kombanwa Hime-sama"
Their maid said as she saw us at the front gate.
(Translation: hime means princess; Kombanwa means Good Evening; sama was a honorific to show respect.)
"Kombanwa, is Ojichan home?" she ask their maid
Ok, naiintindihan ko yung usapan nila. Tsk.
"yes, may bisita nga po sya eh, kung tama po ang pagkakarinig ko si Mr.Tolentino po, yung may ari po ng ilan sa mga hotel dito" the maid explained
Mr.Tolentino?, hotel?.. Si Papa!, pero bakit sya nandito?.
"May problema ba Nice?" takang tanong nya, nasa harapan ko na pala sya ulit, di ko man lamang namalayan yun ah.
"H-huh, w-wala, ma-" I was cut off when I saw my old man at their front door.
"Nice!, what are you doing here?" My father said, shock that he see his son in front of him.
"huh?, you know him?" Kasey ask
"Yeah, Actually he is my father" I explained.
"Mr. Tolentino what are you doing here outside?" an old man came
"ojichan, Tadaima" Kasey interrupted as she ran towards the old man and hug him.
(Translation: Tadaima means I'm home or I'm back)
"Oh, Apo nandito ka na pala, okairi, teka may sugat ka sa noo, okay ka lang ba, masakit pa ba yan?, at sino naman yang kasama mo?" nag aalala nitong sambit bago ibaling ang tingin sa akin.
May sugat din sya sa tuhod, di lang siguro napansin ng matanda.
(Okairi means welcome back)
"Okay na po ako lolo, no need to worry, he's my classmate Nice Tolentino" she introduce me.
"Hello po, Mr Okamoto" magalang kong sambit sa lolo nya.
"hes my son anyway" my father said afterwards.
"oh~, ganun ba, teka nga, pumasok na muna tayo sa loob, let's continue our talk inside, and why don't you have your dinner here?" he offered to us
"It's a pleasure Mr.Okamoto" my father gladly said
Samantalang kami ni Kasey tahimik lang na sumusunod sa dalawa.
The old man take us to their living room, their house was elegant, no wonder they were richer than us though, the interior of their house show how wealthy and elegant their family is, and on the center of their living room there was a huge painting.
"excuse me lolo, aakyat na po muna ako sa kwarto ko" paalam ni Kasey nago sya tumayo at umakyat patungo sa ikalawang palapag.
"ok go ahead, ah.. Why don't you take Nice with you" ang naka ngising sambit ng lolo nya.
Halos mabulunan naman ako sa sinabi ng lolo ni Kasey, kahit na wala namang laman ang bibig ko.
HAH?!, me going to her room no way!
"there's no need Mr. Okamoto" I insisted.
There's no way for me to enter in a girls room. Then after that she go to her room while I am stuck with two old man in front of me talking about their business. After a few minutes she came down and the same time their maid call us saying that the dinner was ready.
"by the way Nice, anak she was the girl I was mentioning to you, she was the one I want you to meet, di ko alam na magka-klase pala kayo, Mr. Okamoto, I don't know na napaka ganda pala talaga ng apo mo, I want her to be my sons wife in the future" natatawang sambit ni papa
"Papa!" singhal ko.
Her as my future wife, NO WAY!, kahit nga maging girlfriend yan di pumasok sa kokote ko , asawa pa kaya. Having a girlfriend was not on my list, asawa pa ba?!.
"Same here Mr. Tolentino" her lolo said, sume-second the motion sa sinabi ni papa
"lolo!" Kasey shouted, namumula ang mukha nya. And I find her cute with that flushed and red cheeks.
'Ano ba yang pinag iisip mo Nice! Umayos ka nga!.' Sigaw ko sa utak ko.
"we are only kidding apo, don't be mad okay. And anyway kidding aside and by the way apo, he was the one I mentioned to you before, the boy I want you to meet"
Wala naman nang naging reaksyon pa si Kasey sa sinabi ni lolo nya sa halip ay nag tuloy na lamang syang umakyat at pumanhik patungo sa silid nya.
After that they continue their chat, akala ko wala ng katapusan ang usapan nila, good thing natapos din at makaka uwi na ako.
"Nice, thank you" Kasey said as she walk us with her lolo sa gate nila
"wala yun, sige una na kami", kanina pa to thank you ng thank you ah
"sige, see you tomorrow sa school" naka ngiti nyang sambit as she waved her hand at me.
Isang simpleng "yeah" lamang ang isinagot ko.
Then we headed home, what a tiring and troublesome day.
