Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Nothing Happened?
Inside the headquarters of leaders who opposed the religion, there were 10 people sitting around a table. Everyone sitting here controls various powers of the elements, not including the light, darkness and healing elements. Anyone of here souls destroy a city on their own. They were all sitting silently, waiting for the sun to come up and prove them right. Prove to them that the religion they hated didn't really had any God backing them up and that there's nothing to fear.
"Everyone, let's first wait." a robed man said.
"What's to wait for?! You don't think that the world would turn dark right? hahahaha that's crap...t-that's.. i-insane... " Another man was denying it but clearly he was forcing himself to erase his fear of the unknown.
"Let me just say this. If the new prophecy does happen, then I'll say this I'm advance that I will permanently leave this organization. As you know, I am the Head of my Country's organization in charge of medicine and we import medicine from all over the world but because of the religion, our products are being less and less use since they can heal most illness. I will say this in behalf of my country, we declare that we will cut off any connections with this organization if the prophecy comes true. It will be wise to destroy this organization after the world itself proveds to us the 'he' exist. In front of a God, erasing his enemies, he won't even need to raise a finger." A man wearing a lab coat with a serious expression said.
"Oh?~ You do know that because of what you said, you might not be able to leave this place alive right?" A gorgeous woman was twirling her blade and threatening the man in a lab coat.
"I am prepared and my country will know of my sacrifice." The man in the lab coat said solemnly.
"DAMN IT! DAMN IT! This isn't happening! That Damn Pope is clearly buffing! WHAT NEW PROPHECY?!! That's bullsshit!"
"You, more than all people should know that their religion never made a prophecy except for the original one they had. If their God had truly awakened, I and my faction of Assassins will also withdraw permanently from here on now. We do not want to be dragged down when their 'supposed' god gives divine punishment to all his enemies." Another one said.
"Everyone, the God of Elements will protect us." An old man from another religion said.
"Shut it, old man. Can your god make the whole world dark?! Huh? Can he!?" Someone who had been quiet couldn't handle it and spoke his thoughts.
"He is an evil god!" The old man from another religion shouted in reply.
"ENOUGH!" Powerful elements surged wildly in the man who shouted. It seemed like he was the most powerful here.
"Evil or Not, We can only wait and act according to each of our own plans depending on what happens."
Everyone stayed silent after that not wanting to get on the bad side if this person.

Back on Twilight City, a maiden was accompanying the Pope that was also waiting silently outside the Cathedral with other worshippers.
"Father, No, Pope... Did God really made an appearance?" the female who was accompanying the Pope was his only daughter.
"Its okay to call me that, my child. I haven't been a good father to you all these years because of my duty but after everything is over, I'll have time for you. My only concern right now is why you doubt your God now. Do not worry. He will show to everyone that he exist and he will soon come to judge. He is a kind and pure God. If you saw him yourself... you would understand. No, I'll make sure youll see his glorious form. He will appear after a year again."
"Yes Father." The maiden wanted to say something else but chose to believe his father for now. She was more satisfied by what his father said about having more time with her as her father but knows that if the god they all expect to meet doesn't appear then it would ruin his father's life ...and her only family.
"Pope, its nearing dawn. We are ready to accept God's miracle."
"Archbishop...You were one of the most loyal follower of our God. Being able to use 'his' power when most couldn't is the proof that you have absolute faith in him."
"I am honored to hear that from you, Pope."
"I am also honored to have you too, Archbishop."
Everyone waited for the time of dawn. The worshippers expects the dawn to not come. Their enemies was hoping that dawn would come. Their expectations would soon be answered.
It was early in the morning. Some people were cheering and was wanting to celebrate.
It was the church's enemies.

"Father, dawn is here... Father?"
The Pope's daughter was still looking at the rising sun. Dissapointed but more concerned for her father. She was heartbroken though when her father was kneeling on the ground murmuring a soft prayer. She started to cry. The God they believed in... didn't fulfill his promise. The miracle they were waiting for didn't happen... but his father... still prayed for his God. I was sad. It made her sad to see her father like this. It wasn't only his father, the Archbishop and other worshippers that had Greater Faith than others were standing still... frozen and couldn't believe that it was all false.
They were thinking why...Why this happend...Were they deceived...Did their god truly is a fake? Countless thoughts rose from their minds. The thought made them lose faith against the God they thought so much of.

The light of the sun already covered the world.
Back in the headquarters of the enemies of the Twilight's End.
"I knew it was all false! That supposed 'God's of theirs couldn't exist! hahahaaha!" The man who was angry back then said.
"Only the God of Elemental is the only god in this world" The old man from another religion praised his own god.
"With this the medicine that will imported from our countries will be more and more imported products means more profit for us. hahahaha"
"Boys~ My brother will be open for today. I'm sure my girls are also celebrating. For all of you, only the normal price. " The gorgeous woman said.
" Your normal price is too expensive for your girls. I thought you were gonna stick to this organization but from what you just said, it feels like you already planned to escape the moment something goes wrong." A man accused.
"My My~ Don't worry about the small details. Its important to celebrate after a disaster is avoided. hehe"
"It's not a disaster when it's not even true in the first place! Hahahahaha"
"Yes, I can't believe we've been fooled by that Pope. With nothing happening, that Pope will surely be punished for making everyone believe of an event that never happened." The assasin said.
"This is our chance. After we celebrate, we will plan the downfall of the religion!" The leader said more determined now than ever.
"This little event will be our advantage. Those pesky priest will-... "

"Whoever is joking there, it's not funny anymore. Turn the fucking lights on!!!"
"T-the ...l-lights ...used in this room came from the light of ...the s-sun ...for this v-very ...purpose, I-idiot." The leader said with a trembling voice.

"Well~ Its been fun while it lasted. Remember, I never opposed the religion directly. I have the least damage made here.....so... HOPE SOME OF YOU SURVIVE. FAREWELL~."
The gorgeous woman said while escaping.
Little did she know that almost half already had run away when the leader spoke about the lights and another half after she said her farewell.
At that moment, all of the enemies of Twilight's End hid in fear.
The sun did came up but like a switch for a lightbulb, every light source including the sun, fire, moon and stars disappeared.
It was all darkness and nothing could be seen.
Then, ray of lights suddenly appeared above the churches of the Bryce's religion. The lights were like beacons. The light was like a fire attracting moths. Wherever there was light. People will swarm.
In the future, this day would be remembered in history as "The Day When the World Went Dark."
