Chapter 10: It's the Sacred Family!
Shortly after leaving the camp they heard the roar of some kind of beast, Solomon could even hear people saying it was a good thing that they had decided to leave or else they would have had to fight it. At first Solomon thought that the time line would change with him there, with his presence they would have asked him to get rid of it but it seemed like everything was still on the original timelines pace.
Soon after the roars had faded he could smell blood, no smell wasn't quite correct, more like he could sense its presence. As if knowing what he was thinking the system explained it.
[Most demonic beings are sensitive to blood, Sins are no exception. You should be able to sense if blood has been spilled within 10 kilometers of you at your current strength. This ability is also useful if a creature escapes from you since you can sense the blood on them.]
"Quite a convenient ability, it seems that Shen Yue decided to send assassins after us while completely disregarding my presence."To be honest he felt quite offended, despite him being here they had still come from what he could tell they had not even dispatched stronger people. He felt like he was being looked down upon. "Since they don't want to give me face then I see no reason to give them face."
As the sun was slowly rising he could feel the Silver Ranked demon spiritualist slowly closing in. They were about a kilometer away in a blind spot but that did not stop him from sensing the blood of the fox bears on them. As they were closing in Nie Li told Chen Linjian about their pursuers including his suspicions of them being from the dark guild.
It wasn't till around noon that they showed themselves, when they did explosions sounded off not to far from where they were resting. Chen Linjian had cornered them and was asking who they were, which they ignored while attacking them.
After coming to the conclusion that there were from the dark guild they did not hold back and begun fighting. One of them was killed and destroyed his own body the other two escaped, or they would have if the timeline was still the same. As they were fleeing Solomon appeared before them and decapitated them with a sword he had bought before leaving the city.
"This sword is not to bad, it was a pretty clean cut."
[With how much you spent on it, it better have. Who spends 10 million demon spirit coins on a sword that they will barely use.]
Solomon had managed to get 10 million demon spirit coins by selling a legendary ranked inscription which was given to him by the system to the City lord. They had originally wanted to give him more but he just said that he wanted a good sword so they bought him this one. Although it was useful now, what the system said was correct, he would barely use it, with his strength increasing at a rapid pace it wouldn't be long before this sword was to weak that he would no longer be able to use it.
While he was lost in thought of how he was going to get a better weapon when this one could no longer withstand his strength Chen Linjian and his men appeared. As they noticed the corpses on the ground they couldn't help but to gulp. While they would have been able to beat them and they were already injured their teacher had still managed to covertly sneak up on the men and even kill them before they could destroy their bodies.
"So you're here, I thought it was going to take you forever. You can deal with bodies however you want, I haven't searched them so you'll have to do that yourself." If they wanted to find out who they were they were going to have to do it themselves, Solomon did not have a hobby of searching dead people, unless they were skeletons or mummies, because that was a different story.
"Thank you Teacher for the help, if not for you we wouldn't have been able to catch them and even if we did it wouldn't have been an intact body."
As Chen Linjian was talking with Solomon his men were searching the bodies.
"Hey! These guys are from the sacred family!"
"What!?" With the exception of Solomon everyone was surprised, said person was also walking back towards the others with his hands behind his back whistling, everyone got the message, do as you please.
