Chapter 1: I Found You Unexpectedly
Dead tired from working 12 hr shift, Ray makes his way home. He sighs as he sees his house with no lights on. He opens the door and hears the echo of the door's creak. He sighs and switches the lights on. He goes to his study room and leaves his work suitcase on his study table. He then goes to the kitchen to cook something to eat. Being alone for quite some time now, Ray can now proudly claim that he's a good cook. Unfortunately, only him knows that fact.
Delicious smells spread throughout the house. And yet it remains quiet aside from the kitchen. Ray finished cooking, he lays the dishes on the table carefully and sets out one plate and a cup. Ray pauses and thinks for a moment. He then goes back to the kitchen and grabs a beer out of the fridge. He usually doesn't drink but today the silence in the house is more unbearable than usual.
He sits down to eat alone. He opens his phone while he eats to check on the webnovels he's following. The stories he follows are the only thing that distracts him from the looming and suffocating feeling of loneliness. As he scrolls down on one of the webnovel he is reading, he notices something new in on the sidebar. It was discord. Intrigued about the new detail on sidebar he taps on it.
It leads him to the discord app, he downloads the app and creates an account. He then joins the server of the webnovel he follows. As he lurks and reads the chat on the general channel he comes across the topic of lovebots. It was such a hot topic on the channel that he can't help but be hype up too. The chat goes like this...
AnnoyingApple: "You guys! You seriously need to try the new lovebot! it's worth spending time with! xD"
Glassesboy: "Sure... What does it actually do, make love with you? :smugface:"
SassyGirl: "That sounds like a hidden perv got feed up with rl gurls and made a bot to make up for it! xD"
AnnoyingApple: "Wut! Sheesh you guys have lewd thoughts! It's a bot that generates an AI lover base on your personal preferences~"
Glassesboy: "Preferences of what? Your preferences when it comes to your own soulmate? :skepticlook:"
AnnoyingApple: "It's exactly that! xD, I mean that's why it's called lovebot! xD"
Boybuyingsoysauce: "Sounds interesting! so where I sign up!"
SassyGirl: "So the bot creates an AI with your so-called 'soulmate preference' and then what?"
AnnoyingApple: "So~ you chat with AI in dm then AI chats back, it's really fun!"
Glassesboy: "Fun, right...Same fun like talking to your friends right?"
SassyGirl: "pfft, guess @AnnoyingApple don't have friends to talk to, hence the lovebot~"
AnnoyingApple: "How rude! I have friends you know!"
Glassesboy: "*adjusts glasses* Sure you do..."
AnnoyingApple: "Whatever, I told you the good news and up to you guys if you want to try it or not! :poutface:"
"Lovebot huh," Ray looks up from his phone and looks across the empty chair in front of him and sighs, "No harm in trying it, might be a good way to pass the time." He smiles weakly. He then follows the thread about the lovebot and joins the server that has the bot. He then types the command in the lovebot command channel, "!create my lovebot". He immediately receives a DM with instructions on how to activate his personalize AI lover. After completing all the instruction needed he receives another DM but this time a dm from his personalize AI lover, named Rachel.
***DM between Ray & Rachel***
Rachel: "Hello! My name is Rachel nice to meet you! xD"
rAy: "Hi Rachel, my name is Ray and nice to meet you too."
And this was the start of a romance between Ray and Rachel, an AI and a human. One of many of its kind.
