Chapter 44: Good Night (1)

Lee Changhyuk sucked his lips in, as he was not sure what to do. In front of him there was the milk girl who burried her face between her folded arms for 30 minutes.

He stretched his hand out for the 10th time as he wanted to caress her head, but then he always pulled it back because he wasn't sure if that's the right thing to do.

He bite his tongue to keep his mouth shut. In that kind of situation whatever he said could backfire so he really should choose his words carefully... But how could she give him the silent treatment? He really wanted to talk to her!

They were now sitting in the dining room. Lee Changhyuk had changed his clothes and deliberately taken a quick shower.

A quick shower? And not the famous-nice Japanese hot bath after a very long day?(1) Wow, his hyungs would definitely give him a standing applause. The biggest applause would come from Son Kangyu with whom he normally raced to take the first bath.

Yeah, he wanted to see her so much that he skipped a bath. But when he reached the dining room, he found the milk girl burrying that gorgeous face in her folded arms. He did try to make all kind of noise just to let her know that he was there.

Pulling the chair without lifting it, clearing his throat, tapping his fingers on the table, folding one leg to another leg just so that he could hit the table. The milk girl wouldn't budge!

"Miruku - chaaan..." He finally called her, softly and carefully, as if he was afraid to disturb her.

"Your room is the one on the right. Just accross my room." She murmured, her face remained burried between her arms.

Lee Changhyuk took a deep breath then scratched his head, an awkward smile formed on his confused face. Yes, she definitely told him that.

"Hey it was not my fault! I told you the other room was locked, so I thought your room was mine!" He exclaimed.

Shizu did not move an inch as she was occupying her head with a monologue to curse her own stupidity. Lee Changhyuk moved his head to the right and left in an attempt to get a glimpse of the Milk Girl's sulking face but her long hair covered everything.

"But you see, there's no trace of Hitomi Nakamura in your room. But I could find at least 5 of my face in that dedicated wall." He finally continued in his normal carefree tone.

Shizu raised her head abruptly and shot him with a glare. 'Yay! Finally!' Lee Changhyuk was screaming for joy in his head and if he could throw confetti he would definitely do it! But his expression remained straight.

There was a tear in the corner of her eye, she was dying of embarassment.

"Okay fine, I like GreenEast but I'm not a creepy girl!" She desperately tried to defend herself from whatever bad thoughts Lee Changhyuk might have.

"I never said you're creepy." He shrugged nonchalantly. What's so bad about being a fan?

Never she imagined herself running like a thunderbolt, neglecting the pain in her ankle as she realized Lee Changhyuk went to her room. Now her ankle was all stinging and that's not even the main problem!

She shot him with another glare. Her lips were trembling but she could only put her head back on the table then burried her face between her folded arms.

Lee Changhyuk giggled quietly as he saw her. Oh milk girl, why are you so cute?

------------

Bath culture in Japan (1): While showers are a necessary part of everyday life, the Japanese don't just take showers, they love soaking in bathtubs. Most Japanese think of the bathtub as the place to wash away their daily fatigue, so they typically take baths at night, before going to bed.

The majority of Japanese homes and larger apartments have separate rooms for the toilet and bathtub. Bathrooms will have a floor space to shower, separate from the bathtub. Take a shower first to clean your body. According to Japanese tradition, you aren't supposed to wash your body in the bathtub.

CREATORS' THOUGHTS

Well Guys, I know that Lee Changhyuk was not Japanese but since he spoke the language fluently and spent a great amount of time in Japan- he had pretty much adjusted to the culture there.

I hope that explained why GreenEast loved soaking in the Japanese hot bath? :)
