Chapter 3: Reincarnation, chapter:3
The man with the clean shave knocked on the microphone twice and said with great fervor,
GENERAL ZAAFIR: My name is Zaafir and i will be leading the battle as your Genral, Superior and Commander, so obey my orders and i swear that i will lead you to victory even if this is the last thing i ever do. So whos with me.
SOLDIERS: we!!!
GENERAL: I cant hear you!! AGAIN!!!
SOLDIERS: WEEE!!!
GENERAL: "Now thats the confidence i need,Get ready for the battle and also lieutinent farhad will fill you on the detai...".
"General!!" before his words could be completed, a voice sounded and quieted the atmosphere. The general seemed displeased but however his anger subsided as he saw the culprit behind the voice.it was me and as i had something very important to discuss which could be of heavy importance to discuss and could have a huge effect on the upcoming battle i had no option but to call out the general right now.
Leutinent farhad with the snake face however got angry and loudly said "dont you realize the general is a very busy man and dosent have time for your queries".
"shut up" I muttered my whole visage becoming that of a terrifying beast."I don't have time for you. I will deal with you later."
My years of battle experience hit him like a wave and he fell down.
*I -i-i i am your seeen--nior I will have you execcuu--tedd" he said all scared up.
"Wanna try that" i said practically at this stage letting all of my aura loose.
He then started screaming to his subordinates "you monkeys what are you doing shoot him. I said shoot him you idiots" However none of them dared to with the general present.
"All right calm down everyone and you come with me" the general said showing a satisfied
smirk.hearing that i calmed down and went to the captain's quarters with him and the other soldiers in tow.i had created the commotion because first I wanted to make sure that he will be humiliated and because i wanted to vent some of my anger on him and secondly that he won't try plotting another conspiracy for the time being.
The captain's quarters were twice that of a regular officers camp and a number of soldiers could be seen hurrying in and out with large piles of documents in their hands both signed and unsigned.
"As you can see the recent disturbances have increased our workload" the general said at the same time signalling me to take a seat.i nodded and sat upon the one directly opposite to him.he continued "At this time of chaos,we need to be strong and organized but most importantly United",i nodded to show I understand he then continued "Compared to us our Afghan brothers are in a much better state right now as only a few of those portal type of thingys opened there however the same cant be said for their officials . Many of Whom were struck near the border of Pakistan and Afghanistan when those monsters broke out" . I exclaimed as a sudden realization hitted me
seeing my expression the general nodded, "yes,this mission is an rescue mission in fact. As you know in the previous few decades our relations with our Afghan brothers haven't been right so this mission would not only help us get their support but would also ease the decade old tensions!!.
Hearing this crucial piece of information I couldn't help but take a serious expression,"then this makes it even more important of a mission". "Right! Thats why i want to promote you" the general said.
"Me? I was surprised briefly.
"YES You. Not only have you have previously amazing achievements but your short encounter with leutinent farhad made me realise that you were the best person to lead this job. so from now on captain of platoon 156 you have been upgraded to the status of Lieutinent of the corps 6,i have high hopes in you".
The surroundings had become much lighter now with the generals favourable attitude towards him and both conversed with reach other and the general was surprised that though being of no millitary backgrounds or having had any previous millitary training, he had the aura that only a senior millitary war correspondent would have and was thus elated deeply inside about his correct decision for him to lead this mission. After a short while the general said "So you wanted to say something to me?" As he said this i gazed at the other parties in the room before looking back at the general.The general understood and said "very well, we will have a private talk then.You all can go now."One of the officers wanted to intervene but the general quickly said in a strong tone "we are at a war with monsters right now with destruction found everywhere and u think a human would foolishly kill another right now" with that being said the officer had to forcefully leave.
I was again amazed by the generals confidence in me and decided to tell him my plans."General zafar" I said with a serious expression, the general felt the surroundings grew colder. "As you may have seen that we have faced such monstrosities twice and it wouldn't be an exxageration to say that the losses worldwide are in thousands of millions." The general gave me a serious nod as if to imply that he understands. I then continued "And we have lost both times why because we were taken unexpected but this time we know that where the wave is gonna sprout out but now about what we are gonna face, i have a hypothesis and we have a chance to win this time".I took a marker and drew something on the white board, "The first wave was of these small humanoid beasts and large wolf's, whereas the second wave was of more powerful humanoid beats that were larger and swifter and the damage caused was comparatively greater then the first time. what does that imply?"
The general thought for a while gulping nervously.
I said " The waves are getting stronger!!" "Impossible" he shouted and suddenly a soldier came in "is anything the matter?" "Sir". The general gave a sign with his hand and the soldier exited and the general fell in his seat. Helplessly he said "I am gonna be honest with you now. The common populace dosent know but out of its total population Pakistan has suffered over 35 % and rising!!."
He took a pause before continuing:"Many regions are still death zones with humans trapped and monsters roaming everywhere and if what you said is correct then I fear that humanity will be extinct in the next two years or so." "Meeran I have lived much of my life,if possible I just want a safe haven for the future generations.but with the way it seems,it dosent look like we will survive another month in this deathzone."
I looked at the general and smiled before saying: "Dont worry, for that i have a plan."
