As she sat down inside her office after she had a good talk with Sook, she quickly reviewed the folders that the Empress had mailed her.
Her widened as soon as she realized what the B.G.O is for. It was to construct war machines that would defend their territory. And seeing the results from all the research these past 3 years under Commander Feng, it was disappointing. The war machines would help eliminate enemies without risking the lives of their fellow Asian men. It wasn't actually a boring job, she thought.
She walked over to her closet and found her new uniform inside. She laughed as she realized that her old best friend, The Empress, hasn't changed at all. The Empress still likes her people in uniforms.
She took it out and wore it. It actually looks good on her.
Now, back to business, she thought after she looked at herself in the mirror.
She marched towards the command center, which was just below her office and decided to have a talk with the staff. She was going to have a more personal talk with Commander Feng later.
"Anyone here knows me?" she asked as she sat down on the table and crossed her legs.
Every single one of the staff nodded. Who doesn't know her? Although she didn't acknowledge her title as the Chief General, she was still the Chief General. But most people only knew her the Empress' favorite lapdog but to be honest, she really doesn't care what people call her. Her duty was to serve the Asian people and her Empress.
"The Empress has put me in charge of the operations in Battle Goddess. Is there anything you might want to tell me about the B.G Operations? Something I'd be super mad about if I find out about it later by myself?" she asked the staff. Her arms now crossed. She got pissed when she saw Commander Feng's smirk on the side.
The staff remained quiet.
"Alright. I'd like Commander Feng to tell me what the fuck is this," she said as she threw the documents on the ground.
A personal talk wouldn't get her results.
The smile on Commander Feng's face disappeared when he saw what it was. Sook who was just casually standing beside him, smiled secretly. It was time for this baffoon to get what he deserves.
"I am surprised by how you treat me, Commander. I hope you didn't forget that I'm still the Chief General," she firmly said. If stares could kill, Feng would've been buried right there and then.
Remembering that she was his boss, he quickly stood straight in front of her with his eyes leveling Shao Tian's.
"Eyes down, Commander," she said, her voice firm and affirmative which made the old man look down.
She laughed at his own stupidity.
"I'd like you to tell me the truth why has the research failed?" she asked directly. The staff was sweating with nervous.
"Mr. Gonzaga, I heard Filipinos are honest people. I'd like to know why the research failed," she said as she turned to the man who was the nearest to her.
The man gulped first before answering the Chief General in front of him.
"Commander Feng limited the places where we can research more. But the other researchers and I have researched on our own," he said as he scrambled towards his desk to retrieve from a locked drawer.
Commander Feng froze in fear. He was ready to retrieve his gun and shoot the man down. But before he could even move, Shao Tian held his shoulder down by force which made him kneel in front of her. He didn't imagine a woman could have strength like that.
"I'm sorry that you have underestimated me, Commander. I'll make sure you won't anymore," Shao Tian said as she retrieved the gun from his holster. "If this was the front lines, Commander Feng, I would've cut your head off, mercilessly," she added.
The people shuddered in fear as they saw her expression turned dark.
After the document was handed to her, she turned to Sook.
"Arrest him for now. Let the Japanese Twins deal with him later after they come back from the front lines. I'm sure those two will have the time of their lives with Commander Feng," she said as she went to her office. "Come inside my office in 10 minutes, Mr. Gonzaga."
Fernan Gonzaga, a computer genius was hired by the government to be the chief researcher for the Battle Goddess Operation. But ever since Commander Feng took hold of the B.G Operations, his skills were limited so he took things on his own hands. And now, he's on his way to the Chief General's office.
"Sit down, Mr. Gonzaga," she said as she stared outside the window before tossing the documents in the table with her signature in it.
"I won't be here for the time being. I'm going to assist in the front lines for a while. But make sure, the next time I inspect Battle Goddess, I want a working prototype, ready to be presented to the Empress. Impress me as you were specially plucked out from the thousands of Computer geniuses the government found," she said.
Gonzaga's eyes brightened as soon as he heard these so he nodded quickly.
"Yes. We will start right away after we plan everything out," he said.
"Good. I'll be back in 3 months. Do it quickly, alright?" she said as she grabbed her cap from her table. "I'll be off then. Don't worry about the funding, the Empress approved it. I'll leave someone in charge while I'm gone. He'll be here this afternoon," she said before leaving.
After she left, Gonzaga quickly went back to his desk to tell his co-staff the news. They quickly had a meeting to plan the most glorious war machine anyone in the world has never seen before, The Battle Goddess herself.
