"Wow! You are so beatihandsome! Is there something wrong with that eye. Do you want the doctor to check it Nur," Jasmine said.
Drizella: "No. No need to trouble the narcissistic doctor!"
The doctor was about to ask what she meant by "narcissistic doctor"...
Who would have thought that Noah would move as fast as the wind and try to snatch the cloth covering her eye.
Everyone could only felt a light breeze passing them. They felt they couldn't catch Noah even if they try but someone could actually grab hold of his wrist and change the inertia of his movement.
That someone is Nur or to be more specific Drizella. She grabs hold of his moving hand and directed it away from her head. Yet it was still able to gauze the binding of the cloth, making it unwarp and revealing her eye.
"Huh. There is nothing wrong with it. Why is Nur hiding his beautiful green eye?" Jasmine ask.
"Green?" Drizella questioned.
"Yep. Green. What else is it supposed to be?"
Drizella shocks her head, feeling relief inside. She answered: "Nothing. It's just that it still hurt and eyes are harder to recover, right."
They walk from hall to hall and she notices the wall has something of a glow to it. She has read, in walls noble or richest uses shining sand to mix with other ingredients so the wall will glow when its dark. They don't have to use candles or lanterns for the darkness inside their house. They came upon a big door adore in gold. It was splendor and extravagant, showing the country's richest glory.
Sitting at the very top and center in a lazy position stood a man in his late twenties or early thirties. He has bright blonde hair and light blue eyes in contrast to Jasmine or other desert people Drizella has seen. His eyes glance at them before being cast elsewhere. The look in his eyes is fierce and powerful but there was a hint of loneliness and being hurt before.
"Leave," he ordered.
The person standing before them hesitated before bowing his head and leaving the room as he was ordered.
Just as the person reaches the door, Jasmine runs to the man sitting in his set. She throws her arms at him and hugged him. What cames out of her mouth was the word "father" but the word "uncle" and what came out of Noah's mouth was the word "father" not "uncle."
Drizella can only glue her eyes at Jasmine's head maid for an answer. The maid gives her a look that seems to say 'what do you think.' to her. She who has been reading all the books Jasmine brought to her never encounter 'some sort of this" before. The only conclusion she can give is that Jasmine mother is a reverse harem master. Without. A. Doubt.
Jasmine's mother must have enchanted all the good-looking and noblemen in the Desert Empire. With she being unable to choose one person, the men decided to share her and she gives birth to their children. Happy ending! Just like in otome games she read in mangas but never played before. That is her far-fetch tale of why Jasmine and Noah called the man in different ways.
The head maid and Jasmine having an inkling of what she thought, shook their head and yell. To be more specific the head maid shook her head while Jasmine yelled, "What weird fantasy are you having Nur? He is my father's brother and Noah's adopted father. The rest of the details I'll tell you later. So don't have those thoughts between my mother and father's brother."
She sure is sharp for her young age. Is this what it meant to be born into royalty. Being sharp and precise, never allowing an enemy to take advantage. Is what she want to say but how many time has a king been taken advantage of. She can't count. Wait... this man who has the dignity of a king in the making isn't king. No, they called it Sultan not king in this country.
"You two's purpose is to meet brother?" the question was asked however it sounded more like he is stating a fact.
Noah nodded towards him while Jasmine smile: "Yep. Can uncle tell Jasmine were father is?"
"Let Noah take you there," he said.
Jasmine gives him a check kiss which he blocked with his hand. She didn't get what she wants and knows if she tries again she'll get punished. What's more, there might not be a corpse of her tomorrow. He is her uncle but he is ruthless and cold towards his relatives or anyone. She has heard there was only one person who he was different towards but that person is no more.
...
"Why are you sweating, princess?" Drizella asks as she searches the narcissistic doctor for a handkerchief. She dimp her forehead and handed it to her to continue.
Jasmine: "You don't know. Kasim is very scary. If I'm not careful just for a bit, my neck would be rolling. Yet he is so handsome. Don't you see the way he glances at you filled with emptiness mixed with coldness."
Kasim... There was nothing about him in the books that Jasmine have given her.
Noah stopped in his track. He knocked on the door. A young beautiful woman wearing Arabian clothing and a veil open the door. Even with half her face hidden, the smile on her lip didn't escape anyone's focus. Her eyes are turned uplifted showing her happiness and joy at the two children.
She said: "Come in. Your father is waiting for you."
With Jasmine standing next to her, there is a resemblance between the two. The Sultan in this era has three wives and lots of concubines. The lady would be one of his four wives and the one who gives birth to Jasmine. With her pretty looks, no wonder Jasmine would be as pretty or more pretty.
She leads the way as they reach the bed where the real sultan is laying. She lower herself and whisper into his ear.
With him up and awake, those that are still standing bow towards him, showing respect.
He was a man with a gentle demeanor and give out an aura that makes people want to swear loyalty to.
I guess there are differences but the differences are too big, even though they are both brothers. Maybe closer to half, not a quarter brothers?
The sultan: "This person is your bodyguard? Those that I've chosen is better."
Jasmine hugging the arm of the sultan: "Father, those bodyguards of your's makes people stay away from me. And I don't want that!"
"Suit yourself. He has already passed the test given. I can't take back my words," he said as he patted her head.
If he really wants to he just can there is no one who would go against him, but from what Drizella have seen this sultan doesn't seem that type of person. A person that never goes back on his words or someone close to him.
"Darling. The stone please," the Sultan told his wife.
"Yes, dear," Jasmine's mother handed Drizella a small pale white stone.
She explains, "This stone will tell me about your power. You, child, on the other just have to hold onto the stone and pour some mana in."
Drizella felt that there will not be a reaction and she can't use her mana. But if force comes to shove she really have to force herself to tear a small hole into the seal on her source of mana. Even if that damages her physically and mentally, it might give her a clue to undue the seal.
