Drizella spent two weeks staying in the bed reading all the books that Jasmine handed her. Each day there will always be a new book for her, even if she hasn't finished the previous book. To add all of them have to do with protecting, fighting, and the Desert Empire culture. Some books are fighting techniques that Jasmine drilled into her brain.
These days she felt like she's a half-dead person or rather a mummy. The room she's in doesn't even have a mirror where she can stare at her appearance. She still remembers Jasmine's words towards her, right after she woke up. How can her appearance change? Will... eye color changing isn't a big deal. Anastasia already experiences it already. Her brown eyes turned a blue color reflecting the sea on her second awakening. But it didn't stay long before it returned to being brown again. However, Jasmine is still fusing about her green eye.
After the doctor check-up today, she can ask for a mirror.
After today she doesn't have to wear any bandages or be locked up in this room. She was overjoyed but downcasted as she thinks about her situations. It's been about half a month after she separated from the other three. She didn't want to believe it, but she has been on her deathbed, for most of, the half of a month or so Jasmine has told her. She hopes her mother and younger sister aren't too worried about her.
She has tried to use her magic to send them a message yet she just can't gather up her mana. It seems like her power was sealed and when she tried to perk around it, the result is her coughing up blood. She doesn't want to give up but she has no solution.
Knock... knock... knock.
She leaves the bed to open the door. The people standing in front of her is the doctor who seems so happy when she woke up, Jasmine and her maid, and the rarely seen third prince who look at her with scorn.
"Doctor, I would like to do the same. I'm sorry but please bear with me and can I get a mirror, please," she hasn't been using please more than she has now.
The doctor understanding her meaning searches his medical box and handed her the things she asks for. He didn't neglect to provide her a mirror which caused her to wonder why a doctor would carry a mirror with him. He doesn't have narcissist tendency right?
Noah was about to go inside too before Jasmine stops him in his tracks: "Brother, we should go in. There are people who don't want their scars to be seen."
Noah: "Why? Scars are a man's pride and honor."
Jasmine with a fake smile: "Not everyone is like you. Please remember that from now on."
...
With all the bandages gone, she inspected her body. Inspecting her body, to her surprise, there was no scars or even a speck of dust on her. The doctor's medicine works very well, she doesn't even have a scar on her body... or rather she should say her body is too clean?
Her build is even slender than before and she has curves... as if she has evolved... this is almost like "When I Got Reincarnated into a Slime" where monsters changed after they evolved. ...Hahahahaha! Impossible she isn't a monster or even in that story.
Covering her chest area with a cloth, she wears her boy's clothing back on. She removed the bandages around her head and her one damage eye.
Using the mirror she borrowed from the narcissist doctor she braced herself to look at her reflection. It shocked her so much she nearly dropped the mirror in her hand. She took more peeks at her reflection with unbelievable eyes.
Believing the problem isn't herself but the mirror, she called on Coco and have him swallow up the mirror before puking it out again.
After Leon woke up, she tried asking Coco what gender it would like to assume and it chooses to be a boy without hesitation. She was very heartbroken and sad, her spirit contractor chooses to be a boy either than a girl?! What's so great about being a boy?!
She can't change Coco into a mirror because her pool of mana is sealed and even if she could there is a very low chance of it succeeding. Her case with the white lion is lucky enough or else she would have died there. In simpler term, it means that she only has about a .01% chance of Coco turning into a mirror or else she would just be wasting her mana for nothing.
Looking at the reflection from both the mirror, she was having cold feet and feeling a chill. Is her face really like this? This got to be someone else's face! She is positive... 100% positive that she didn't get cosmetic surgery... or more like this world doesn't have the concept of cosmetic surgery. The girl in front of her shows hints of a very beautiful lady in the future. Her face was smooth to the touch, without any pores. Attractive eyebrows and clear pupil like the river with a hint of sharpness. Her pale lip is gloss in a cherry red color brightening her pale face. Furthermore her eyes...
What happened to her eye?! Why is it a different color!? Her injured eye is a slivery purple while her uninjured eye is a light emerald color. She has heterochromia iridium (iridis) but there is nothing wrong with her and she believes it's not genetic.
Hasn't her body changed way too much? She believes even her family won't even recognize she is Drizella if she suddenly appears before them. She has gone with too many changes, that she doesn't even recognize herself.
She wraps a clean white piece of cloth around her silvery purple eye. Seeing that her slivery purple eye is way too different she decided the best option is to hide it. Furthermore, in the books Jasmine give her, there were sentences about different eye colors being the bringer of death. She thinks it is unique but society thinks differently. It was just passing sentences so she didn't get the full story behind the different eye colors.
Why is it so difficult to live a normal EXTRAORDINARY life!!!!
Before she can get deeper into her changes, there was knocking coming from the door. She throws her reasoning behind her back and blamed her second awakening. She opens the door and handed the mirror back to the narcissistic doctor.
