After bell was rung, all the students started leaving their classes. When Sarah and Sadik walked out of their class, they found Peter waiting for them. He was sitting under the shed of a mango tree with his school bag on his back. They walked down the stairs and met him. Immediately he saw them, he stood up on his feet and the three of the walked away from the class area."So how was the class today?" Peter asked."Oh it was splendid "Sadik replied smirking."At least those boys had stopped bothering him when they found out how amazing he is" Sarah added."They won't dare try it again" Peter laughed.
As they were walking, they heard a group of boys ahead of them talking about Fatima and James was also among them."You don't stand a chance James, just give up" one of the boys said."Their relationship with the head boy is getting stronger every day" the boy continued." I must make her love me, you still don't know who I am" James proudly said and the rest of the boys started laughing."I don't see anything special about Fatima that will make boys fall for her foolishly, she is so arrogant thinking that she's better than everybody, and I hate her for that reason" Sarah complained. Sadik and Peter looked at each other after she said that and didn't make any comment about what she said.
They got to a point where there was a road that will take Sarah to her hostel."We'll see later Sadik" Sarah concluded and headed to her hostel. After she was gone, Sadik suddenly remembered that he had forgotten one of his books in class."Why do you stop walking Sadik?" Peter inquired."I forgot my book in the class" Sadik turned back."Just go to the hostel, I will go back and get it" he added."Okay we shall meet in the hostel" Peter replied.
As Sadik turned to go back to his class, he saw Mary behind them."Hello Mary how is your day going?" Sadik asked her."Is going as it's supposed to be. I was talking to you earlier when you were walking into the assembly hall with Peter, but you ignored me instead" Mary reported."Oh please I'm so sorry Mary, maybe I didn't see you" Sadik replied."Is okay" Mary said."But where are you going now?" She asked."I forgot a book in the class, I'm going back to get it" Sadik responded."Okay can you please help me with something Sadik?" Mary requested."Oh what is it Mary?" Sadik asked."We were given a very tough maths problem to solve, will you please help me with it?" Mary said bringing out her maths note book and handed it to Sadik."No problem, I will go through it when I go to the hostel" Sadik replied and they both went on their ways.
Sadik was going back to his class when he saw Fatima and her friends leaving the classes area. They were the last people coming with nobody around them and Sadik decided he has finally gotten a chance to talk to her. As he was getting closer to them, he began to wonder what he will say to her. And the more they got closer to each other, the faster his heart beat. He was suddenly overcome by fear and something was telling him not to dare try it. But as soon as he remembered the incidences that happened before, he got encouraged instantly.
They both looked at each other when they got so close to each other."Excuse me" Sadik said as Fatima and her friends were about to pass him and they stopped walking. He moved closer to Fatima and looked her in the eye."I was wondering if you could help me with your Biology text book" Sadik requested."Oh sure I left it in the class, let me go and get for you" Fatima replied and she went back to class with her friends. They came back with the book in Fatima's hand."Here you go" she handed Sadik the texted book."Thank you" Sadik appreciated."I will return it back tomorrow after class hours" Sadik continued."Okay that won't be a problem" she replied and walked away with her friends. Her friends turned and looked and him as they were walking away and Sadik had a feeling that they already knew he's in love with Fatima because they have been noticing how he looked at her.
Sadik went back to the class and sat down. Something he had never expected had happened. It was as if he was lost in his own fantasies."Is this really the legendary Fatima that spoke to me without turning me down?" He kept asking. He stood up and started walking his way back to the hostel, he felt like screaming due to happiness.
When he entered their room, Peter was confused when he noticed him."Hey why are you back so quickly? Didn't you go to the mosque?" Peter inquired before he noticed the smile on Sadik's face."I know something good has happened, hasn't it?" Peter inquired with a smile wishing to hear Sadik's story."Of course it has, you are not going to believe it" Sadik replied."Oh please tell me what happened" Peter said with eagerness."I spoke to Fatima today" Sadik announced."Wow! Really?" Peter was amazed with his eyes widely opened."Tell me more please" he continued." While was speaking to her, she didn't look offended. In fact, I was completely welcomed" Sadik confirmed."You never seize to amaze me Sadik, you are always full of surprises" Peter Said."right from the begining, I knew you were going to make it. I guess we'll have to award you as the best lover boy of this school" Peter joked."Best lover boy?" Their house captain interrupted as he walked into the room. Sadik and Peter kept quiet while looking at their house captain."Looks like you boys are hiding something" Anas suspected."We are hiding nothing house captain" they replied laughing."Oh really? But why should we award Sadik as the best lover boy of this school?" Anas inquired."Because really I love my books so much" Sadik responded."Oh really? Is book the other name for a girl in your place?" Anas laughed."So tell me about your girlfriend" Anas asked."Girlfriend? What girlfriend? I never had one even in my dreams" Sadik replied."Oh I see. I know you will soon have one because even the girls in my class talk about you. It seems like you are now popular" Anas said."You are just making fun of me house captain" Sadik said even though felt so happy about the fact that girls talked about him."I'm serious, if you don't believe me ask anyone from my class" James assured.
Anas left the room when he heard some students yelling out his name outside.
