Amari arrived to her dress fitting 10 minutes late. Her mom Keturia scolded her for her tardiness. "You asked us all to be her at 12:30pm and here you are coming in 10 minutes late? I have patient's to attend to. Hurry up, put the dress on and let me see how it looks." Her mother said angrily. Keturia Valdespee was Gynecologist. She's a short Half African American, half Irish woman coming in at the height of five foot four inches. She's in her early 50's. She's usually sweet and easy going until her feather are ruffled and then she's hell on wheels.
Her family has a strong military background. Her father and uncles were Commanders in The Army, Navy and Marines. Her husband Ricardo was a Sargent in the Army. They met in Hawaii when she was on summer vacation with her friends from college. He was deployed there for a few months. They met in a tiki bar and they fell in love at first sight. They've been together for 38 years and married for 35 years.
In attendance at the dress fitting was of course Amari's mother Keturia, Dontae mother Jasmine and Amari's two best friends Symone and Marie.
Marie was also her cousin on her mother's side of the family. She's a police officer training to be a detective. She caramel colored with long straight black hair, brown eyes and a little pug in her nose. She also has a simple in her right cheek when she smiles. She loves to showcase it to men she's interested in.
Her friend Symone was a White woman with brunette shoulder length hair, blue eyes and straight nose. She's a kindergarten teacher with good discipline skills.
Amari and Symone have known each other since the first day of middle school. They were both afraid of the environment they were pushed into and instantly clicked.
Amari introduced Symone and Marie to each other and the the beginning they were at odds. constantly complaining about the other. They once faught each other and neither came out the winner so they decided on a truce and eventually got closer to each other. Now they will fight in the others defense.
Mrs. Jasmine Kim. Dontae's mom. A sweet Korean American woman in her 50's. She owns three daycares in Orlando. Her eyes are hazel, her hair is black and long. Her skin is like a pearl, soft, shiny and smooth. her nose has a bit of a pug and her lips a plum. She's a tall woman. She stands at five foot nine inches. She could've been a model but she chose for a family and security. Plus her business's are booming. In all honesty, she doesn't have to depend on her husband for anything. She's soon to open up a fourth daycare in Kissimmee. Fl. She comes from a family of lawyers, chefs, doctors and government officials. Her maiden name is Lee.
"Amari, hurey up and come out. We're all anxious to see how you look in the dress." Mrs. Kim yelled at the dressing room Amari was getting dressed in. "Okay, I'm coming out." Amari yelled back. She stepped out in a beautiful A-line dress with lace and tulling. The patterns on the dress showcased in gold and crystals and the upper bodice was shiny with crystal's.
"Its beautiful." Her mother cried. "I never thought my tomboyish little girl was ever going to get married. I thought you were gay and afraid to tell me." Everyone busted out laughing and the end of her sentence. "Mommy, I've always been into boys. I just thought that most of them were stupid and I just beat them up.!" Amari replied. "Well, we've seen the dress let's get lunch and go about the rest of our day." Amari continued. "Wait, let me look at you once more. My son is going to cry when he sees you coming down the isle." Mrs. Kim said "That's what I was going for!" Amari said with a wink and a smile. Amari went back into the dressing room, came back out and everyone went on their way to lunch.
