Chapter 2: Chapter 2 : Gone

"Hello?" a voice which followed by a knock echoing around. "Is this castle or mansion abandoned?" she asked in curiousity as she opened the large dusty door entering the dark castle. As she set foot into the castle, light began to lit from behind her. Fireflies. Her face in awed as she watched the fireflies and the moon shone bright at the castle making not only the exterior but the interior visible through the windows. She stepped back from the castle leaving the door wide ajar to watch the whole scene. "So it is a castle, " she stated as she examined the castle from a distance "but it can still be a mansion, a house that had been edited into a bigger one."

(Let's rewind a bit—)

"No.." said her in a trembling voice. She turned her head to peer through the window, to tell her younger brothers to open the door to let her enter her home but instead she saw a man facing directly at her through the window with a cold stare. He had just about the same height as her but a little taller, his unkept hair was a little longer for a man's hair, in a colour of faint grey.

As soon she saw the man, she frozed. Standing there, watching him watching her. She used the time to examine his look. But as soon as she had the guts to move, she ran as fast as she could into the woods asking herself 'Who is he?' She didn't ran that far, that is what she thought, asking herself for a place to stay for the night. She wander through the woods, mind filled with thoughts and questions. Her eyes almost filled with tears, she batted her eyes to not let the tears to tear her apart and sometimes she thought to herself 'This is not a time to weep, not a situation to weep, and it is not to weep for. These tears shall indicate how weak I am.'

She reached a clearing as to where she knew an abandoned house she'd seen before is at, but now, the house seem slightly more enormous. Maybe it's because she'd only seen the house in a quite far distance? She wiped her eyes to focus them, she walked slowly in the direction of the house. She wants to peer through the windows but it was dark and difficult to even guess what it was behind the window. She placed a hand on the large door, her hand dance along as she felt the craved door. She knocked the door. The second time she knocked the door, she said "Hello?" She began to pushed the door gently. The door was slightly more heavy than the average house doors.

(First Paragraph)

The girl entered the castle with curiosity. Eventhough it is dark, but you can tell that it is spacious with the light shining in the castle from the door and windows. There is a staircase leading upwards on the far left. Another staircase in a twirl leading up on the right. The girl head towards the staircase on the left. Carefully climbing up the stairs, one step at a time. The girl turns her head to look around every step she takes, feeling uneasy as she had entered a building without permission of the owner if there is one, but courage began to build in her, little by little as she take the steps.

She reached the top of the stairs, the stairs weren't high but she took time to reach the top of the stairs. She barely notice that something was behind her as she turned facing the hallway, wanting to walk along the hallway and she took a step.

She turned around to see a red cloth covering what look like a mirror. It is a mirror, as she notices the uncovered part of the mirror at the top right's edge of the mirror. Reflection of the light that shown behind her was visible.

She laid her hand on the edge of the fabric at which the uncovered part of the mirror, she held it. Slowly, she uncovered the mirror.

Not even half of the mirror was uncovered, but she stopped.
