Chapter 31: Fiend

Long Lei was in a great dilemma as she could not imagine that it was really happening to her. She transmigrated in a book. The problem was she had not read the story when her friend mentioned it to her.

She was an average student who wanted to be a doctor so she had to give her all in to study hard and maintain her scores. She was a bookworm that liked to study boring things.

She could only remember that this story was a bit different from the usual female lead's stories as the heroine accepted other women in her male lead's life contrary to the norm. She was open-minded and allowed him to have six more wives other than her. After all, the male lead was the stallion stud mentioned in those male-centric novels and the main gist of all this was that he truly never loved anyone of them.

"Lei'er, what are you thinking? Did you want to join that sect?" the azure dragon asked her impatiently as he wanted to know her answer to further prepare things. Although he knew that Long Lei was a Martial Sky expert and has completely developed her golden core but her enthusiasm towards cultivation was not much.

She was more interested in alchemy.

Long Lei who was still thinking about her pitiful circumstances woke up from his call.

"Huh! What? Do you need anything?"

The azure dragon frowned at her concentration. She was simply not putting him in her eyes.

He was worried about her but she was simply day-dreaming when they had to do so many important stuff in the future considering she was hen Xin Yi's successor.

"I asked whether you would like to join the Holy Kunlun Sect so I could make preparations in advance."

"EHh!? Holy Kunlun Sect? Are you planning to their, young mistress?" Old Mo interrupted their conversation as he heard bits and pieces from Meng Zhang's mouth.

Long Lei was scared thinking about the retaliation of that man named Nangong Ah Jin and these two were thinking about some shit sect. They must be out of their minds. After all, even if that sect has a connection to the God Realm; it could not possibly compare to the future lord god.

Nangong Ah Jin was going to ultimately become the highest god of this world.

What a tragedy?

Besides, her surname is Long, she must be related to that female lead who loves trouble or trouble loves her. It could be both in her case and chase for the male lead.

"Ah! What a trashy life? Why am I even here?"

"Young mistress! Are you alright?" Old Mo was worried about her health as he could see her contemplating something very hard. What was it that could trouble his young mistress who was not even frazzled by his master?

"Old Mo! When will godfather be back from his seclusion?"

"I don't know about that but our master had told me to tell you to join some sects to hone your skills and said he would like you to go to the holy Kunlun sect if you needed his advice."

Old Mo told her immediately as the lord had strictly ordered him to look after her before going into seclusion. Long Lei was now fourteen years old and perfect to enter a sect.

In Jianghu, other than his lord there was no one that could teach her as they all had been subdued by this little girl's innocent gaze.

Long Lei was surprised. Her godfather wanted her to go and study in that bogus sect.

"Is that so?" She wanted to know the reason behind the choice of her godfather. "You didn't tell me before?!"

"The reason for that was your age, young mistress. Master had asked me too also search about your family and I had collected information on it also."

Old Mo told her without keeping anything a secret as it was his master's wish to find her identity even if she was not that concerned about it.

He has never seen his master giving so much attention to anyone else in his sixty years of life. Long Lei was the only one who received his master's care and appreciation so he also looked after her as his granddaughter.

The azure dragon was quietly giving attention to their words and his brain was making all sorts of judgment about the mysterious identity of his mistress.

She was not connected to Nangong Bai Yue by blood and had another identity. Her family name was 'Long'.

Who was she in the end?

"Really! Where do I come from? Do I have a family left behind?" She asked the old man hoping to hear a negative answer.

Since she didn't want to become a sister of the female lead of the story so it would be better if she was an orphan found by her godfather.

"Yeah! Tell us! What did you discover?" The azure dragon also inquired simultaneously.

Old Mo was not aware of the identity of the azure dragon and had some concern regarding trusting him. His narrowed eyes gave the azure dragon a deep look before he turned towards Long Lei with his benign smile.

"Do you want to hear now or would prefer to know the details unaccompanied?" Old Mo raised his doubts.

Long Lei realized the old man had problems regarding her contracted beast and was skeptical of his presence.

The azure dragon also discerned the hidden meaning behind his words and scowled in indignation.

"What do you mean old man? You are doubting my loyalty. Do I look like a 'fiend' to you?"

Old Mo maintained his benign smile and dismissed the insignificant dragon. "We can't easily trust outsiders these days. I'm doing all this for you, young mistress."

Long Lei chuckled at his words but didn't clarify the position of the azure dragon in her life. She wanted to first confirm whether she was associated with the female lead in any way or not.
