Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Remember
The three High Gods were having their annual meeting. The only time of year when they would willingly come out to meet each other.
Time sat in his chair, eyes unfocused, in a daze. It was nothing out of the ordinary and so, he was just ignored. That is, until he spoke.
"Do you miss them?" Chronos asked. The previous argument was forgotten. Pin-drop silence echoed throughout the room.
Nothing more needed to be said. The two gods accompanying him knew exactly who he was talking about.
Since the war, any and all talk of them had become taboo. For the Lord of Time to bring it up now, after so long...
The other two gods did not respond to Chronos's question. What could even they say? That they missed Aru's playful nature? That they missed the God of Air and his mischief? But they were enemies. You were not supposed to miss enemies.
Nothing needed to be said. It was clear that the three of them would have done anything to release their dear friends from their slumber. However, every day they restrained themselves, thinking that it was too late. They had already started the replacement process.
If only they could go back to before the war started and change everything. If only...
